Title: Blythe Masters Launches Prediction Market

BM, thoughts on this?  Digital Asset seems to be sticking with the permissioned ledger for this one. 

Impressive $5MM for a prediction market startup.

I think it's good. When there are a few of these things, especially from mainstream sources, then they will be spending their money to (1) forge a regulatory path and (2) appeal to customers. Let them do the hard work and soften up the government and markets for us. The blockchain can always undercut other business models.

If it is not decentralized what advantage does it offer over Intrade? Did she forget about Intrade?

She is offering a more efficient Intrade, nothing more and nothing less. I'm not against the permissioned ledger idea but I see no point in building on top of her ledger if there is Augur.

I suppose she is bringing relationship capital? She knows the movers and shakers?

How is bitshares permissionless when it comes to orediction markets?  Only  exchange function is decentralized

Yes.....  Repcoins are censorship resistent.

I love Blythe Master. I even got a book on her that I cannot read well, it's in french. So I would take her innovation, seriously. But don't mistake where my loyalty lies. I love Bytemaster 100x more. she's just a mouse to him really!
