Title: People with transcription experience, could I get your input?

Can all these things be done in Linux, or should I dual-boot?

Passed this site's grammar test, and am waiting on my headset to come in the mail before I do the audio test. Any advice for a possible new transcriber? It's independent contracting work, so I don't have to use the software they suggest if everything can be done effectively in Linux.

I'm posting here because I know there are several of you who do transcription for the hangouts and what-not.

Does this even look like a legitimate opportunity? I'm strongly interested in it because I can type mighty fast, and this seems like good work for an introvert like myself.
