Thanks spartako.

dele-puppy is up and ready to be voted in.

When you register as a witness it will generate a new signing key.  So you will need to update your config.ini with both witness number and keys.  I almost missed the new signing key.

I am trying some websocket commands to test the network.  Please advise if I am doing it correctly.

The first command I tried is 'transfer'.

Code: [Select]
{"id":1, "method":"call", "params":[0,"transfer",["bitcube","riverhead","0.00001", "CORE", "memo",0]]}

I am getting this reply from the server:

Code: [Select]
{"id":1,"result":{"ref_block_num":3308,"ref_block_prefix":1603124994,"expiration":"2015-10-01T16:22:24","operations":[[0,{"fee":{"amount":2089843,"asset_id":"1.3.0"},"from":"1.2.8206","to":"1.2.67253","amount":{"amount":1,"asset_id":"1.3.0"},"memo":{"from":"GPH7qbi1TEAFGjsCTNQoecnGkcMr3RV6ya5yc8GbXyXCV1adQtFsn","to":"GPH6BJYGHftujnbttFFKX6YacnvsMd4sbJrbucg682GiU4vmXHTik","nonce":"3892553794563765610","message":"8597c1f8476b4ff353000cf12a2e34e0"},"extensions":[]}]],"extensions":[],"signatures":["1f341ef9b75106274c5eca41bbf8917e7b89ed35b30f8fb2b37d8241785dbe2a234a19561e2281095384f01ff297bb01c6d1d6e061e959c3607e44b9037db95871"]}}

Now, I do not have CORE and so I am expecting an error but I am getting a seemingly positive result above.  I do not understand.

Edit: I figure out the answer.  I was using broadcast 'false'. When I changed it to 'true', it worked as expected.

So in an effort to figure out why I am unable to vote in more than 11 witnesses right now I discovered that the current vote counting algorithm has all balances voting for the NUMBER of witnesses which means if you import a balance but do not vote, then you are voting by default for 11 witnesses.

I made a small change that will ignore accounts that vote for 0 or 1 witnesses for the purpose of voting on the desired number of witnesses.

The HARDFORK will take effect at block 10000.

Someone has imported almost 190M BTS and is voting for no one.

Thanks wackou, done!

Now I have to wait untill I get voted in right?
And I can check that with get_global_properties... I should see my witness id in the "active witnesses" list, right?

Last but not least, can I already launch my witness with --genesis-json , --witness-id and --private-key options OR I have to wait to be voted in first?

Thanks for the support!

(using xeroc's script)

You can try this:

Code: [Select]
git clone https://github.com/xeroc/python-graphenelib.git

cd ~/python-graphenelib

python3 setup.py install --user

cd ~/python-graphenelib/scripts

cp config-example.py  config.py

vi config.py and change port number eg 8092

Start wallet with the same port number eg 8092

Code: [Select]
./cli_wallet -w testwallet4 --chain-id 0682819add44adb68b5ae8fa24bcd23bca930d5fe9eda95e7e09343c53ee0859 -s ws://127.0.0.1:8091 -H 127.0.0.1:8092

I need some CORE for the price feed and I will be trying Spams later.  Can someone please send me some CORE?

Edit: If you faced dependency numpy missing error:

Code: [Select]
pip3 install numpy

It may be some other dependencies errors. Were there other error messages that could provide a clue?

I have some questions.

1) Who does own btsnow?
2) Are they on a single vps or separated multiple vps?
3) If answer is 'single', is it good for network health?

Yes. Full log:

SystemError: Cannot compile 'Python.h'. Perhaps you need to install python-dev|python-devel.

I think this is the key error message.  You can try this fix : http://askubuntu.com/questions/632245/installation-of-pythons-numpy-keeps-failing

I have xeroc's pricefeed script running now.  I think.

BTW how to continually publish price feed? The script gave me this message.

You could probably use a little loop like
Code: [Select]
while true; do ./pricefeeds.py; sleep 300; done and just change the seconds for how long you want to wait between updating.

Thanks.

Your witness is missing blocks. Please be advised that current witnesses use different signing key from the previous testnet (this is what I almost made a mistake)

I'm a bit embarrassed with this request.  May I have some CORE for registration?  I'm missing blocks, as this testnet required that I upgrade my account, which I missed in my setup.  Previous testnet genesis files had my account upgraded, so did not have this in my build script.

Thanks in advance,
Fox

My node got stuck during the night, too (didn't crash) on block 14541 with an unlinkable block error. I relaunched it (with --enable-stale-production, wouldn't do anything otherwise) and it seems like I'm producing blocks again (seems like I'm the only one, I did 14542, 14543, 14544 and 14545 as of now). Not sure if I am on my own fork and nobody sees it or if I'm the only one producing blocks (feeling a bit lonely there :( )

I think the main chain is stuck on #14541. Each of us can start its own fork but the main chain stays on #14541. I seem to recall that bytemaster said the main chain needs 2/3 of witnesses to keep on going (or sth like that, not sure anymore).

I guess we're going to have to wait for the next testnet or until bytemaster works his magic somehow to resurrect this one...

Yes, if I remember well we need to use checkpoints in some way to resurrect the network but I don't know how....

There was a hard fork at block 10,000 from a post-tag commit.  Maybe new witnesses got voted in around 14,000 who hadn't gotten that upgrade yet and dropped us below the required participation level.

That is exactly what happened.   Bm didn't upgrade the init node.

My bad guys.   I forgot to upgrade the main node and it went off on a fork once the witness count diverged....   :(    :'( :'( :-[ :-[

I am preparing a new test network that has all of the recent changes in it.
