Here's a backup of the synced chain from yesterday. Hope it helps someone...

Excuse my ignorance, but is this download to speed up the syncing process?
Where would I download it to?
-
Yes, this is for those having issues with the sync stalling.
If you're on Windows, there should be a folder called "chain" most likely in "C:\Users\[YourUsernameHere]\AppData\Roaming\.BitShares\" on linux the .BitShares folder will be in your home directory. Just download this, unzip it, and replace you chain folder with the one from the download. Then launch the wallet and let it sync the remaining blocks.

Thank you for the try to help, but I have to admit that I would gladly want to know how this works...
I am a Mac user and I really don't know how to use it ???
-
I'm not sure what the path to the chain folder is on Mac, but once you find it this should work fine on that platform also. It's just block data.

Thanks ;)

Make sure the only folders / files is your wallet and the new chain.

Thanks for the backup of the chain, I managed to fix my issue in a different way. (This may help anybody if stuck).
My wallet was would not sync from the past 6 days.
So I finally launched the client rebuilding the index:
C:\Program Files\BitSharesX\bin>bitshares_client.exe --rebuild-index
Waited a few hours and my client was fully synchronised.
Finally I rescanned to get the latest transactions.

Worked perfectly...
Thanks a lot for lowering my stress levels ;)
