Title: Backup Wallet for 2.0
Post by: salva82 on October 10, 2015, 02:50:02 am
Hello everyone, I have a PC with windows 10, bitshares software 0.9.3c. I prepared the Wallet Backup menu by clicking on EXPORT WALLET.
As far as I can understand, I think it must also do the backup of the Keys from the console, but I can not.
Can you tell me if it is sufficient to file I created?
Otherwise I would need the exact procedure.
Thanks

You will not be able to use that export to import your funds .. i assume a new release of 0.9.3d or so .. will resolve this issue .. until version d is release you can only use the export generated by the console ...

I found this suggestion from sudo (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18714.msg242976.html#msg242976) worked for me. (There are a few other comments in that thread - e.g. some people find it necessary to run the client as administrator).

So, @sudo said to use:
Code: [Select]
wallet_export_keys c:\bts\bts.json
I just used that exact command, then moved the file to elsewhere afterwards.
