Title: Unable to sync up
Post by: kenCode on October 10, 2015, 06:40:51 pm
Running 0.9.2 for some time... On the 8th of this month, I transferred 10K bts from one account in my linux wallet to another account in the same wallet (i have 4 accounts in 1 wallet).

It deducted the 10K bts from the sending account but even after 2 days, and numerous attempts (and clicking that retry link (not sure what it was called)) to get the bts transferred into the receiving account, the bts never showed up there and that transaction seems to have hung up my entire wallet. so now there are 10K bts not showing up in the sending account anymore. :-[

so i figured now would be a good a time as any to upgrade my linux gui client to 0.9.3c. no luck.
it would not import my json file with the hung up 10k.
it would not import a recent json file either (about a month old, obviously missing some transactions).
actually, it seems to import those json files ok, the 4 accounts showed up in the 0.9.3c wallet, but the blockchain sync just hangs there at 13% completion, even with 18 connections.

from my 0.9.2 wallet i did manage to export all 4 private keys.

so, should i...
1. send you the most recent json file and maybe you can fix it for me?
2. just create a new wallet and import the 4 private keys (syntax?) losing all my transactions?
3. extract/paste in a fresh chain folder (anyone have a copy?) then try to import my most recent json file again with the broken 10K transaction in it?

thanx in advance guys :)

There's a chain backup from the 5th.  Should solve the syncing problem.  If the 10k doesn't show up after you're synced you may need to regenerate some keys.

Good morning from Munich @Troglodactyl and thank you for the link.
Last night before I went to bed I just created a brand new 0.9.3c wallet and let it sync up all night long without importing any keys or a json file.

It worked! I woke up this morning and it was all synced up so I imported the most recent json file with the broken 10K transaction in it and everything is now the way it should be. The 10K actually showed up in the receiving account, I did one more small transfer between the two accounts and those bts transferred nice and quick.

So, if anyone else has this sync problem, just let the new wallet sync up before you try to import your json file.

I just exported the wallet just now to a brand new json file for the 2.0 switch. :D
Cheerz!!
