Title: Basic questions on OpenLedger
Post by: Flor on November 17, 2015, 11:27:59 pm
Hello,

Please find here after few questions I have regarding OpenLedger.

How do you guys transfert BTC to your OpenLedger account ? I have created an OpenLedger wallet but for some reason in the Deposit/Withdraw page there is no address to send money.

My second question concern OpenLedge as a secure way to hold asset. Do you think it is a good alternative to the BitShares client ? I've installed the client but it is took huge time to synchronize with the network. Online wallet seems better.

Thanks,

Flo

Deposit BTC in Account -> Deposit/Withdraw. I would choose CCEDK's OpenBTC as they have some liquidity: https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPENBTC_BTS

You can install the light wallet if you want, which is identical to the web wallet except the GUI code is not served from the web.

OpenLedger's deposits are just as secure as depositing onto any other exchange.

It is not clear for me how Bit-Asset can be traded as liquidity is very low and spread high. Do you think there is a posibility to buy large amount of asset at a decent price ?

Only way would be to place multiple smaller orders and not all at once or just place a eall and wait till its met

yes, I bought  BitUsd from the exchange and wanted to deposit to openledger! I just created openledger account. And just withdraw to my account name, doesn't it? Thanks!

Welcome to you folks! I hope your questions on OpenLedger have been answered. Some of the exchange markets are still building (still gaining liquidity), but we are off to a great start.
