I would like to know if it was paid for or if it was their own initiative? No problem in paying for a little advertising. I'm just curious to know if they really found BitShares interesting.

I'm pretty sure they plan on getting some money from referral system but not sure if they understand they need to be LTM to start earning.

They contacted cryptonomex and I gave a brief introduction on the referral system and how they could use it in "their" articles to make money.
It really is a shame he did just copy/paste either the webpage or the whitepaper and I start to wonder how the author made his PhD.

Anyway, I am fine with him exposing BitShares on his page. Maybe we can improve content next time

Why should he not copy past it? He just utilizes / capitalizes on the outreach potential his site has.
Maybe shoot him a quick msg telling him that he needs to be a LTM.. @xeroc

They need to be Lifetime member to become AFFILIATE for openledger? that would be news to me .. but I don't know for sure .. @fav: do you know?

yes, that's part of the benefits for lifetime members. you have to upgrade in order to participate.

Who cares if it is copied and pasted as long as its more exposure for bitshares.  The wiki states it best anyway.

After re-reading this for about the 4th time, I am finally starting to get it.  Bitasset creators (liquidity providers) are compensated by the premium charged above market rates (price feed) for lending out their bts to create bitassets.  I had previously posted that bitasset creators (liquidity providers) are providing a service to the network and should be compensated for it, much like depositors at a legacy bank or credit union earn interest because they are providing loan liquidity to the bank's customers.  In bitshare's case, lenders are compensated by the premium instead of through interest payments.  This is a fascinating and radically different design from legacy financial systems but I think it makes for more free and p2p marketplace.  I think slowly but surely people will begin to wrap their heads around what is going on here.
