Title: Get Circle
Post by: Akado on November 23, 2015, 11:39:40 am
Ok, obviously it's easier said than done. I just want to point out a possible opportunity even though we all know the odds. Still, it's important to know people are already aware that Bitcoin's future is not that bright or that there will be better solutions

Speculation much but..

The future, according to CEO Jeremy Allaire, lies in using the technology that underpins the technology, called the blockchain, to make sending any form of money as easy as sending an email. He didn’t want to talk about bitcoin.

Allaire says it’s always been Circle’s aim to go beyond bitcoin but that hasn’t always been obvious to outsiders.

Bitshares needs to do something similar. Many technologies and startups should be powered by Bitshares without actually using Bitshares in the name or quoting Dan Larimer.

But we aren't there yet. The API isn't at that point yet. The technology isn't that mature yet.

Only nerds and activists care about the underlying technology. Maybe drop the Bitshares from marketing and just do stuff.

AFAIK Goldman Sachs was a big investor in Circle and they are also one of the founding members of R3, so presumably the Circle CEO is referencing that initiative.

Basically they will all combine to create a financial blockchain behemoth.

And it seems there is no way to profit from that for us plebs. So far the only gamble is Ripple if they ever decide to use it
