This thread is for anyone setting up a Witness or that has already set up a Witness and wants votes.
Let's keep the thread clean.
Only post once.
Ensure all the relevant information is there to allow voters to make a decision whether or not to vote for your Witness.
Introduce yourself! Don't just be a number asking for votes. Who are you? What's your story? Are you a witness on bts too? What makes you tick? Why MUSE? Why crypto?
Feel free to make your one post as long as you think is required.

I've been a Bitshares supporter since day one and even before back in the Protoshares days. What initially brought me to this community was actually a one sided "flame" war on Bitcointalk. Bytemaster was fielding ideas, which eventually became Bitshares, and the community there was about as hostile as a Youtube comment thread. BM took it all in stride and responded to each question in a sane and rational manner rather than fanning the flames. This was someone who believed in what they were saying.
Fast forward a couple years and the project is still aiming to fulfill its primary objective however others have come to recognize the power of this ecosystem. Cob, and by extension MUSE and Peertracks, are leveraging this new technology to address one of the most screwed up businesses next to finance - Music. Since its announcement I have been very excited about the possibility of the Music project and would love to be a part of the solution.
Though I am not a musician I have come across a number in my lifetime and many have similar nightmare stories about the music industry. There was a Canadian band I listened to growing up called, "The Gandharvas". They were a young band out of Kingston, Ontario, Canada and had a hit getting a lot of airplay on Much Music. When I next ran into them at a local pub they said they broke up because they couldn't afford gas for their van to continue touring. Anyone reading this knows where all the money went.
A better way is long overdue and a blockchain secured peer to peer infrastructure just might be it.

I've been involved with bitshares from the very beginnings of protoshares. Helped troubleshoot the initial dryrun networks. I've been running a consistent reliable delegate/witness node on BTS1, BTS2, as well as MUSE.

I started my career at the university working in C++ and python on music similarity and classification for 8 years. I did not have contact directly with the music business world but I got to learn that it was, as Riverhead eloquently said, in clear need of a reform. I have a few musician friends that play "on the side" and I believe that they could, and should be able to put their music on a blockchain and get some reward for their work, using all the decentralized benefits of a blockchain-based solution that we've come to love.
I have also run a delegate during the entire lifetime of BitShares 0.x, and during that time I developed the bts_tools python package that helps monitor the status of a running delegate/witness and publish feeds. There already is some support for running muse clients, but it is still pending a stable release. It would be nice to be an active witness to be able to test it :)
In all honesty, though, the reason I want to do this is because I believe that the change that such a project can bring is so sorely needed that I want to do as much as I can to help make it a success.

I ran a delegate on the legacy bitshares network from launch day til I shut my delegate down for the launch of 2.0. I believe I was third in blocks produced with over 99.5% uptime.
dele-puppy is a current witness on both the bts2.0 and the muse network. Votes are always appreciated.
I found bitshares in February of 2014. I have experiences with graphene since testnet and am actively participating MUSE network since its launch.
My witness server has dual CPU, 7.5G memory which can stably work at the large influx of transactions. (currently 100 TPS)

witness dragonball started running and supporting MUSE since the launch of MUSE blockchain.
It is geographically based in Hong Kong.
I invested on PTS, AGS, BTS, DNS, BTS2, MUSE, NOTE, PLAY from the beginning, and a long-time believer in Bitshares, and all its partner projects.

Currently I have a full time job. Front-end web developer. Used to be a full-stack though. Living in Thailand.
clayop told me whether I want to be a MUSE witness.
I said yes because I believe
- this project is a needful thing (in terms of decentralised musician reward system),
- this project is actually in progress (as cob told us),
- DPOS might be the best consensus algorithm,
- it will be fun to prove I knew all these,
- diversity among witnesses could make it healthier
I am not, and I won't be any other graphene-based cryptocurrency's witness while I'm MUSE witness.
I understand updating witness node without problems is important here. I will focus on it.
Also I would like to contribute by providing some MUSE related services.
I started my witness node with below VPS spec
2 Core CPU / 4GB RAM / 60GB SSD / Ubuntu 16.04 64bit
