Brownies are being distributed like crazy and a lot of people are just dumping them on the market for one reason or another.  I still think the minimum fair value per brownie is around 30bts, but that is only if some expected (and somewhat unexpected) sharedrops start happening.

The obvious reason is that with the current brownie hyperinflation they really aren't worth a lot anymore, and will be worth even less in the future.

Wait a second.  Are you trying to say that if you have a fungible asset with a finite demand, and you dramatically increase supply it's going to somehow effect the value of this asset?

My god.  If this is true...  Someone has to warn the federal reserve.

The above is sarcasm.

What do you mean hyperinflation?  Aside from an ill-advised increase in supply (which some in the community were NOT happy about) from just over 8M to just over 9M soon after initial issuance, the supply hasn't changed at all.  Am I missing something?

My impression is that brownies are being given away much more generously than they used to be. I may be wrong of course. Check the forum and form your own opinion.

Besides, brownies are BM's own personal tool. Whatever he does with them (including supply changes) is not "the community"'s business.

dump them as much as you want...people who understand what is happening here long term will gladly buy them..
bts/brownie @ 3 or 2 or 1 or 0.1 is irrelevant for those who believe... so keep dumping them if you wish...I am not able to earn them by participating in mumble sessions (timing issues), or code (i am useless coding) but I will be gladly buying them no matter what price whenever I have some money (damn Polo killed my dreams but will recover from my ashes eventually :))

Eventual sharedrops will turn it around. I think it's normal for people to dump it if they can earn BTS from it but I thought brownies would be worth something in the future, like a symbol of reputation or something. Guess I was wrong. Still, future sharedrops on brownies might raise the price if you're that worried about it.

There's always your transaction history (well up to a point, but hopefully that will be addressed as Dan said in the last hangout).  "I once had xxx,xxx Brownie.pts see!" ;)

That being said, personally I don't see Brownie.PTS as any sort of reputation gauge when anyone can buy them on the exchange like an account on BTT.

Now bm knows who he sent Brownie.PTS to so he can use it reliably as a reputation gauge, but I can't.

I have no idea if bm gave them to someone, they purchased them on the exchange, they were transferred between accounts using Sharebits as a mixing service or they sent @fuzzy half nude images for them. :P

It calmed down. Now also the obits don't sink so much anymore. The obits I have to hold, they were too expensive and I believe in it longterm. Strategy now: Drink a good glass of wine and watch my money haha.

I want to get into BTC now! Should I simply buy BTC with BTS or "BORROW" BTC?
Or something else?

I think I will just buy some bitBTC if nobody else says something..
"Take the BTC ride over Christmas because BTS will not rise a lot compared to BTC."
You want to buy with me together????   :) :)

Can someone explain to me why OBITS is falling already? Most people must be selling at a loss, right?

Maybe because their Nanocard did not get activated. I hope that within a few weeks and after some good news everything will turn again (if god exists and hears my prayers)..

some bought at 16bts though I dont know how much. Still I think it should be worth waiting for at least the first buyback since it will be the biggest one.

WOW!!!  So would I.  Couldn't say it any better than that.

Who will make us some profit?

I'll send you 36 LOLLIPOPS and 232 WET KISSES and 1 & 1/2  very exclusive, limited edition DACHAS with cream on top. All you have to do is make us some profit (but not in LOLLIPOPS, WET KISSES or DACHAS since I can get as many as I want of those).

Where are individuals actually selling Brownie Points? Are there major exchanges with BROWNIE/BTS trading pairs?

Just OpenLedger

Can OpenLedger be accessed through the Bitshares Light wallet? I'm new to trading Brownies so forgive my ignorance.

My problem right now is that I do not know exactly how to put Brownie Points on the market to sell through the Bitshares Wallet. I have a Mac and this is my first time. Bare with me  :)

Use the account that you have that has the brownies, go to this market, under SELL put in the price you want and the quantity you want to sell. They sell when someone chooses to pay that price for them, otherwise your sell offer sits on the order book until you cancel the order.

But have you tried it? Didn't you see the "Markets" section?

Yes Akado. I'm so confused there is no market for Brownie.PTS when I try to search for it through the Light Wallet for Mac and I can't create an OpenLedger account online for some reason. Does the market exist in the actual wallet because I cannot access it.

Alright new problem. I keep selling Brownie Points for BTS but I am not receiving BTS but my Brownie Points are dwindling. My wallet says the orders have been placed. Does that mean its not automated? The market? Does the seller have to do something or confirm something on their end? Let me know thanks.

If you want to sell it instantly you have to click on the little numbers “highest bid“ or so. Or highest ask sry, under the “sell brownies“ field.
Then type in the amount of brownies you want to sell and click on sell (or buy) you will see.

I did want to mention one thing. I typed in my Memo wrong when I sent BTS funds from my Wallet. Does typing in the memo cancel the transaction? Cuz the funds are not showing in my Poloniex account.

Contact Poloniex support with details, amount, typed memo, etc, they will help you to get your money at your Poloniex account.
