Title: The BitShares Wallet v1.0.1 for Android and iOS
Post by: kenCode on March 01, 2016, 09:19:21 pm
The BitShares Wallet v1.0.1 for Android (~28MB) has now been submitted successfully to:

The BitShares Wallet v1.0.1 for iPhone:
We are currently finishing the Apple build and already managed to build the app and run it on iPhone simulator. When we get completed (with incessant issues which is inevitable when dealing with Apple) then we are going to deploy it to the AppStore for so-called test-flight by this friday the 4th. Once it is tested internally, it's then submitted for final approval.

Congratulations! :)

BTW, it seems that you still have old video on Google Play with alpha release.

Is all these access to our device really needed? Can you reduce it? Why is the access to our microphone needed or to our media & files needed?
Please reduce it to the minimum possible so more users decide to install it!

-Photos/Media/Files
-Camera
-Microphone
-Wi-Fi connection information
-Device ID & call information

Microphone - not sure how this got enabled
Wi-Fi connection information - needed.
Device ID & call information - this object determines what gets installed for your device, arm, x86, etc

Hmm, position info will have to be enabled in v2.0 because of the Finder. But now that u mention it, we could use gps to locate the nearest witness too, right? that would be cool. It might get you a faster connection speed too. Will have to give that some thought first.

As for contacts, I thought about integrating it but decided against it. Google and apple have access to all of your contacts on your phone as it is, and I didn't really want to get them any doors into your BitShares Wallet contacts if u know what I mean. I have a feeling those fuckers turned on the microphone too because thru all of our tests, we never used the microphone, so I will do my best to get that object removed.

PS I know many people (including myself) that don't install applications if to many objects are enabled... especially if they can't understand why an object must be present (like the microphone in our case for example)

I guess the microphone thing may caused by voice input or something related.

I answered in another thread, that he can surely have a link to his webpage as long as it is made clear that he offers a 3rd party software

Thanx guys :)

We have a hell of a lot more coming out over the coming days too. BitShares Wallet v1.1 is nearing completion, iOS and windows phone support will be released this week, Smartcoins POS standalone app will be done in a couple weeks, Smartcoins POS for Odoo will be out right around the same time, plus I backed everything up a week or so too cuz I wanted to add in rewards card features, faster qr code reading, overdraft protection and a slew of other things I have crammed onto the Roadmap.

Get the word out guys. I want to expand BitShares Munich now with a successful Marketing team for Bitshares itself. We have tons of stuff to brag about and I can hire world-class Marketers (they are not Americans though, sorry) rather quickly. Chris4210 just met with Allianz and a bunch of other billion dollar corp Executives. He's even chatting with Andreas Antonopolous lately. Look at some of Chris's other threads, he's an animal, glad to have him on my team.

As Chris has said, it's time to get LOUD.

Great app, however is there anyway I can access the wallet created on the web wallet. if i was able to create a backup, that could be easily accessed on the web wallet, but as it stands things are limited at present.

ntil later
