Title: We got scammed?
Post by: 21xhipster on March 15, 2016, 06:25:28 am
So far 14 months pass since the end of crowdfunding. Nothing. Really nothing has been done. Moreover: Site, forum abandoned, blockchain has critical issues.
That looks like the whole BitShares community got scammed with this project.
I personally invested 3 BTC that is not so much fortunately.

As investor I require:
- Spending report 2,396.11392611 BTC in fact has been stolen, still without any explanation behind. That is ~$1 mln, holy shit.
- Neither declaration that this project has been abandoned nor clear Roadmap.
- Clear answer when blockchain sync issues will be resolved.
- Clear answer will blockchain will be switched to Graphene and if yes, so when?

If answers won't be provided I ask forum Administrators @bytemaster @fav @bitsapphire @toast and other to close this board with scam announcement and lifetime ban of people involved in this scam from this forum in order to save reputation of the community.

Also we consider delisting DacPlay from https://cyber.fund with scam notification also.
Regards, your shareholder.

I've got on email. Thanks for your feedback. Let me copy paste your response here.

off topic (but must say)

https://cyber.fund

IS GREAT !!!

You guys have made an amazing work and I really don't know how I missed your site.
I registered today and will for sure use your investment tracker. VERY nice done !!!   +5% +5% +5%

I really think you could attract much more attention if you create an UIA here on bitshares... That would be really a catalyst, specially for me, to get some/more cyberfunds!!!   ;)

So from my part I am glad you opened this thread ... That was an eyeopener for me  :)

PS even I am not agreeing with your little bit harsh post title, I give you credit because it is obvious you are concerned for your personal and your investors best interest  +5%
Though this is offtopic that could give some weight to this topic. Strange that this has been deleted.

I know they gave you a bunch of Play's at the beginning so you can distribute them further to the community(?)... so I expect you are still "MUCH" involved with that particular project... any news we can get from your side?

I saw your reply in the other message.. but its got me so confused.. What does dacplay have to do with cyber.fund?  I looked at it and there is no association.. they don't even appear in their team.

Since the moderators of this space are dacplay team I am guessing they were the ones that deleted it.. perhaps they didn't want people knowing they were involved? Yet, I don't even understand how they are. :)

Help me connect the dots.

Regarding their reply... it is the exact same reply they gave two weeks ago.. literally just a cut and paste of it: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21583.msg282982.html#msg282982

No connection. Just investors as you. And I don't understand why they delete the post as you.

Scam accusations are usually too easily given in the cryptosphere. It should be quite clear that most projects will fail and that's not a scam. It's just that the business idea didn't work, project founders were incompetent, they had burn out, they invested the money on totally wrong things, etc.

From a investor point of view, that was just a bad investment. If the money is lost, it's just easiest to forget the whole thing and move on.

Disclaimer: I haven't followed DAC PLAY and I don't have any idea what they have been doing.

Failed project is different from scam. $1M is serious money. These guys should provide expense report or return money to investors or they deserve to be labelled as scam.

Completely agree. That is why the topic is a question not a statement and include fair requirements to classify what happens.

to my knowledge they never ended up giving them to me. we WERE going to do a esports match and get community members and others onboard to compete for a huge pot.   but it never manifested.

i still would love to help play though since they sharedropped our community. just dont think they need me at present or they would probably tell me :P

X, not only have you spent a fraction of (this kind of) money; you also are creating a product at least 100x more quickly. Very impressed with you gamebet guys. (And very glad that, though I contributed a lot for AGS and Music fundraisers, I never spent a dime on Play. Sorry to anyone who did. It was, shall we say, a bit of a gamble.)

Such a scam! Stay away! Broken link!
BTW all content on the site is MIT licensed and free for use (without ads) thus if you do not like something or see that something work not as intended go and improve (https://github.com/cyberFund/chaingear/blob/gh-pages/sources/Synereo/Synereo.toml) it. Big hot girl clearly hints this on the page :-)

+5%  I don't know if many people outside of the initial investors know the high level of communication that @Xypher  and the team delivers. It's a very different world from a few of the BitShares projects I've invested in.

It would be nice if someone from the PLAY devs or a well respectable member of the community gives a torrent to download the blockchain so we don't have to wait for ages to synchronize. I just don't know if there is actually anyone running Play any more.
Why devs PLAY don't consider to at least integrate with graphene? Apparently PLAY in the old bitshares code doesn't have any chance deliver anything..

Muse and Play were once the most exciting projects in bitshares...Not to mention VOTE and DNS that we just got screwed.. And now it just appears that we got indeed scammed. We have been waiting for ages for both projects with no results.

As a consequence of this I think other graphene project do not receive the support that they could receive (Peerplays, Solcert)..And this is just sad...

Come on guys...deliver something please for a change..

To realize the fact that 90% of crowdsales will not succeed...  is hard but can accepted!
To realize that 90% of crowdsales you participated failed because they where SCAMS... well....

i would also love to get some feedback about this project @logxing and the PLAY team ..!

What is the progress? When we will be able to trade PLAYs on other exchanges etc ...?
Not amused about the past month behaviour of NON communication etc..

Looking forward to your feedback

The forum 'playtalk.org' doesn't work for me.. any idea? Oh, it's moved to https://talk.dacplay.org/ long ago.

Oh, @logxing said in QQ group a few days ago that the team will release a hard forking update in next week. The hard fork is scheduled on June 20th, then the V8 engine and a game will be available (on chain).
