Title: arCUDAminer 64 bit v1.0e - PTS GPU miner- STABLE - GTX 780 - 2100 CPM
Post by: archit on January 10, 2014, 07:37:02 am
This doesn't work at all on AMD cards, if you are looking for that go here - https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2296.0 (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2296.0)

Requirements:
Nvidia GPU with Compute capability higher than 20(post 1.0d 11 should work)
CPU (Post 1.0c any processor works)
Latest Nvidia driver

I have only included the binaries for now, I will release the source code after I get a donation of 10 PTS. The miner mines 500 rounds for user and then 15 rounds to support developer. Default -o is ypool.net. Use highperf if you have more than 1.2 GB of GPU memory. Please note that SLI support is not tested yet.

Usage:
arCUDAminer.exe -u archit.pts_1 -p x -m avx -g 2

-g User only if more than 1 GPU eg.2
-u Worker
-p Worker password
-m avx or sse4 or sph(lower caps)
-o Address of pool

Why this?

An explanation of different build:

What happened to cm3 builds?
The newer build is supposed to work  best on all architectures except 3.5 but if you want it back just post and I will compile it again

I think ypool is the No.1 pts pool.

If this GPU miner stick to it, is it will be an 51%?

i find a way to run GTX 770 at 950 c/m

i opened both 64bit miner from archit and 32bit miner from abc123

now have 530 c/m with archit's and 420 c/m with abc123's

add up is 950 c/m

EDIT: those numbers drops :) still got 880 c/m max

Speed report, feature request, and fix report:

GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2x (two cards) init string:
Code: [Select]
arCUDAminer_highperf.exe -o http://ypool.net:10034 -u myUsername.myWorkername 1 -p x -m sse4
Result:
~320 c/m; but it would be ~640 c/m if it recognized both cards (GPU activity only spikes on CUDA device 0). How do I tell it to use the second card? Maybe that's a needed command-line option (with supporting program logic? :/

Thanks! Sending donation, and more will be forthcoming from mining results (on top of the 20 rounds/day this mines).

At first run attempt it threw a missing .dll error. I fixed that by installing "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012;" from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679).

archit, I suggest you update the OP to state/link to that requirement (and/or compile in/distribute whatever supporting .dlls it requires). I installed the x86 and x64 variants (not sure if this requires either/both).

[I swear I read a post by someone else who got the same .dll error? I think installing that vcrdist will fix it.]

It's not stable enough. I tested it twice and it can work but will crash within 1 or 2 hour. And my sys is win7 64, E3 1230v3, gtx460.
Looking forward to update

the same, look forward to more stable updates

It seems to have some relationships with user exchange or networking issue. most of the time, my arCUDAminer crashes when user changing or back online after drop

If I start the arCUDAminer and the cpu miner(yam) at the same computer, yam will be very unstable(drop offline very often), would you please check this?

config:

gtx760 running arCUDAminer

please tell me if any further info needed.

maybe because of socket?

another suggestion:
every time after developer round, ypool's worker explorer will reset so I cannot get the exact share/hour value at ypool, will you update and do not disturb the ypool's worker monitor?

ANything wrong in this?

Ok got that working. I was not supposed to use g 2. But now after trying to mine and finding a share, it says merkelroot is invalid, update your miner..it happens once in a bit, but it seems to happen every few lines... Can some one help me with this. I am not able to reproduce merkleroot error till now but I will try.

029xue- Do everything in the checklist below then report please

Install the newest drivers
Install CUDA toolkit

Also what is your processor?

Can you give me a screenshot?

all crashes happened after the connection lost.
I think the reason is that an unhandled exception occured when the connection lost.

Requirements:
Nvidia GPU with Compute capability higher than 20
CPU with AVX/SSE4 (Not tested with AMD)
Latest Nvidia driver

I have only included the binaries for now, I will release the source code after I get a donation of 10 PTS. The miner mines 500 rounds for user and then 15 rounds to support developer. Default -o is ypool.net. Use highperf if you have more than 1.2 GB of GPU memory. Please note that SLI support is not tested yet.

Usage:
arCUDAminer.exe -u archit.pts_1 -p x -m avx -g 2

-g User only if more than 1 GPU eg.2
-u Worker
-p Worker password
-m avx or sse4(lower caps)

Why this?
  • 64 bit
  • extremly small fee
  • Point to your pool of choice

Please donate on

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5vo0xremdgx1ltt/arCUDAminer1.0a.rar (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5vo0xremdgx1ltt/arCUDAminer1.0a.rar)

How much you donate can be seen from the live workers page on ypool
If you get a malloc error, make sure you have more than 800 MB of free video memory

exactly - why go out of your way to make the software less useful and less widely useable? Unless Ypool has paid you for the software...in which case why are we also paying?

Done! Launch as soon as I get access to a computer with AMD GPU
looking forward to this, i'll test it out and compare it to the 1gh pool miner.  Will yours be usable on any pool?

It uses XPTv6 and I think only YPool supports that till now so I removed the -o switch but it could be added easily again in future

ok I assume the same reasoning as for the openCL miner - I'll eat my hand or hat or ear or whatever Mike Tyson wants me to eat!

edit - Eat my words!

Hello, I just registered on this forum because I wanted to give you an error report.

GPU Geforce 660 (not TI) 2Gb DDR
CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1045T

The program refuses to start, crashes with a popup message:

[Window Title]
arCUDAminer.exe

[Main Instruction]
arCUDAminer.exe has stopped working

[Content]
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

[Close program]

This happens with normal program and highperf either one with avx or sse4.

i think it may be better to underclock memory some to raise core higher.   if it's a temp/voltage issue

otherwise  yeah just raise them both

1.0d has degraded performance compared to 1.0c on GTX780.
1.0c had around 1700 cpm, 1.0d has around 1300 cpm.
Tried both on GTX 780 + i7 3770K and on GTX 570 + GTX780 + AMD A6 5400.
In both cases performance degradation seems identical.
arCUDAminer_cm35_highperf.exe doesnt run on GTX 570 + GTX780 + AMD A6 5400.

PS: missing cudart64_55.dll in the archive for 1.0d

I have been testing different miners and different pools over the last couple days, as with the poster above I also saw a decrease of ~250 c/m with my GTX 780. I went from ~1730 to ~1400.

There is a different miner that gives me ~2100 c/m but it only runs on be^5r, so 'ill be looking around until I find a suitable one with either 1gh or ypool.

~1500 c/m on 1.0d compared to ~2100 c/m on that other miner.

GTX 780 + i7 3770K
arCUDAminer_highperf - 1.0e performance ~ 1750                 1.0c performance ~ 1700
arCUDAminer_cm35_highperf - 1.0e performance ~1350        1.0c performance ~1650

There are some performance fluctuations and my methods of getting results are not very reliable (running the executable for about 2 minutes and looking at the last few cpm reports). However the difference in performance of CM35_highperf is clearly noticable.

Please create <1GB version with Compute 3.5. There are GT630 and GT640 that are Kepler based.

Which miner are we talking about?

This miner, https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2378.0 (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2378.0).

What does 1.0d give?

~1500 c/m on 1.0d compared to ~2100 c/m on that other miner.

Below is your arCUDAMiner1d.

Below is the other miner.

Edit: Actually your 1.0c gives me more c/m than 1.0d, 1.0c provides ~1700 c/m. Screenshot below containing 1.0c.

Give it at least 45 minutes to stabilize

I will do that, but my system traditionally stabilizes within a couple minutes.

I will post my results later tonight.

I ran arCUDAminer 1.0d for ~45 minutes and my c/m settled right below 1600. I ran arCUDAminer_cm35_highperf.exe

(http://s28.postimg.org/snrtce521/ar_CUDA1d_45min.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/snrtce521/)

I also ran arCUDAminer 1.0e for 20 minutes, same results. I also ran arCUDAminer_cm35_highperf.exe

(http://s28.postimg.org/3q1xi5el5/ar_CUDA_1_0e_20min.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/3q1xi5el5/)

Normal arCUDAminer.exe on 1.0e gives me the best result from your miner, ~1800 c/m.

There is a normal compute 3.5 binary too. Also those having problems with cpm drop in cm35_highperf please try the normal cm35 so I can get this sorted out

I have two the same type of card. Will crossfire in a future version add any efficiencies?

Also, are there any performance improvements between version d and version e?

Revert a change that some people reported to cause slow downs so yet, performance improvements in e over d

Your miner doesn't support my GTX690 no matter I set -g 1 or -g 2, only one gpu works under -g 1; or both work on very low cpm under -g 2. Can you fix them cz ptsGPUz supports 690's under its 0.3b version (while supports became  badly with newer versions). Looks like both of miners did not optimize for sli or 690/590.

Make sure that you are not CPU mining as well

Too bust mate, no can do!

Well, maybe some new updates will come that should save CUDA but not in the next week.

I hate you exams

Is there any way to make a specific card mine?  At the moment I have a pair of 780s in my system as well as a 660.  I'd like to run the 660 on its own thread.
