Title: We Need to Fix Our Broken Election System
Post by: CLains on May 06, 2016, 11:27:25 am

Coming to the polls for the first time or at any time should not be a challenge. It should be as easy as showing up and filling out a ballot. And when the results show irregularities, they should be thoroughly investigated by the press and by an independent agency that holds responsible parties to task for any attempts at election fraud. Until then, every broken machine, every disenfranchised voter, every discrepancy between the exit polls and the final results will suggest malfeasance. Fix the system. We all know it’s broken. Tolerating it only exacerbates the problem and leads to more and more disillusionment that results in less and less voters. That couldn’t be what we want, right?

Still a long way to make people see the light.

I love how she says "and we can never follow our vote"... I'll pass that along, we can probably do some marketing off of that. :P

Any way the OP can change the title of this post to something like "We Need to Fix USA's Broken Election System" or "the election system of Sovereign Nations"? When I first saw it, I thought it was a complaint about how BitShares voting worked (although it may be an indictment of that too, don't know :-)

Stop voting = Fixed.  ;)

but... how will i get by without someone dictating my life, restricting voluntary consensual choices, kidnapping peaceful non-violent people,  stealing mine and my neighbors money and property, and killing those folks on the other side of the world?

what about the freedom we need to violently force on eachother, who will enforce it?

We at least need to vote about which flag to get angry about.  And subjugate those who don't pledge their allegiance... right?

[sarcasm, if that wasn't clear]  ;)

voting and democracy for the 'right of force' is a design for criminals and appeases only those with no moral values.

+5% for "Stop voting", but more importantly, stop hallucinating you have a right to delegate to 'authority' a right you don't posses to begin with.
