Title: Paying Employeess In Nigeria With Bitshares
Post by: doyoubit on June 26, 2017, 03:01:16 pm
Hi

I have an employee in Nigeria that I would like to pay with Bitshares.  His question is how does he convert the BitUSD  or Bitshares to cash in Nigeria?  Is there an off ramp there? or a person who can meet locally and pay cash for Bitshares, BitBTC or BitUSD?

One way would be to pay them in Bitcoin first - to make sure they can find an offramp (Bitcoin has a fair few - nearly a decade of existence buys you that much market penetration). Then, ongoing you can pay them in BitUSD and they can exchange it to Bitcoin whenever they want to offramp. There are gateways in the wallet for super-simple conversion from bitUSD/BTS/Other DEX assets ->Other cryptos (like Bitcoin).

I don't think there isn't a way like that so far. He just need to get paid with Bitcoin USD cash and should go to the exchange store. So he can change USD to Nigerian currency.
