Title: Upsides/Downsides of Issuing a SAFT (like Filecoin's) as User-Issued Asset
Post by: DaFarbs on September 01, 2017, 11:09:41 am
Filecoin has a vesting schedule and a SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Token) and I would like the communities opinion on how well you think this would work using Bitshares. I don't agree with everything Filecoin is doing and did not invest in them nor want to but considering that the SAFT is a security convertible into tokens based on certain events happening, Bitshares and the User-Issued Asset seem well suited for this type of offering. Thoughts?

he means let usd be used for the service instead of a filecoin style uia.  but I think both can be valuable.  really is nice to have both though ...for instance "sell your filecoin uia for bitusd" right in the interface :)
