Title: Why Can't US Citizens US Open Ledger?
Post by: MarsResident on October 10, 2017, 01:48:57 pm
OpenLedger.io

Is everyone else in the US getting a message that says US Citizens can't use OL? Because I can't find anyone talking about it, and I just noticed it.

Just because no one else is talking about this, and there seems to have been no announcement, and I can't find anything about this on Google, I am going to post the exact words that came up so other people can find this if this thread comes up with an answer:

"Thank you for your interest in OpenLedger, but unfortunately US citizens cannot access our site."

Hmm.

Another good reason to move to a SmartCoin instead of UIA based model.

OpenLedger provides a web based gateway into the BitShares blockchain along with other business activities.  Basically exchanges/gateways are trying to get their ducks in a row an avoid any government legal issues.

Download or use via https://bitshares.org/ without restrictions.
