Title: private keys on wallet.bitshares.org
Post by: sygma0 on January 05, 2018, 08:33:06 pm
I signed up to bitshares exchange (wallet.bitshares.org) and bought some BTS.
Where is my private key (or passphrase) stored and how can I see it ?
I saw the "enable local wallet" option but what happens to my current wallet if I do that ?

The keys are stored in your browser so they never leave your computer.  You can either have a cloud based model with passwords or a local based wallet with the downloadable wallet file.

Read up on the technology before playing around with any settings: http://docs.bitshares.org/

I couldn't find in the doc what "enable local wallet" does, could you explain ?
What key is displayed under Settings->Accounts->View keys->Owner Permissions->KEY ?
