This has most potential.

Remove the caption and copy the picture 3 times in a row vertically. Then we can post suggestions for:

Picture 1: "character left says"
Picture 2: "character right says"
Picture 3: "*punchline*"

Or a suggestive two picture template like this (https://i.imgflip.com/15kgi.jpg) that people can suggest caption 1 and 2 for.
