Title: Why aren't exchanges P2P as well?

I'm sure I'm missing there, and maybe this has been discussed, but there is a bit of irony in a P2P currency being affected by a DDoS attack.

Because those exchanges deal with fiat and fiat requires centralization.

XCP/MSC have decentralized exchanges in the works

So one way of looking at the current issues with bitcoin is that the problem actually lies with traditional currencies. I don't this message is getting out there.

Most people don't see regulation and centralized control as problems, because it is easy to think of problems those things solve and hard to think of how it could be done in any other way

i think  problems sure
