Dear BitShares Community,
This is Shirley from U.S.Blockchain (https://www.usblockchain.news/ (https://www.usblockchain.news/)). We’ve been kept making contribution to BitShares for more than one year. We wrote several articles and spread the word for BitShares; helped with translating important posts on BitShares Talk to solve the language barrier between English community and Chinese community.
U.S.Blockchain is submitting a three-month 2019 BitShares Annual Update Report Proposal for BitShares to clarify its key progress and updates of 2019; to look ahead to 2020; to expand its influence in the global community. We are looking forward to receiving more comments and suggestions from BitShares Community and more volunteers will join us.
Due to the language barrier, the information is not continuously conveyed to BitShares global community members. We are aiming to bridge the gap between BitShares communities from different countries and convey a consistent message to the global audience of BitShares.
Proposal Description:
- Summarize BitShares’ progress & achievement in the past year
- Communicate with BitShares community members, collect and gather the updated information
- Look ahead to the next year
- Edit BitShares Annual Update Report
- Technical review of BitShares Annual Update Report
- Translate the report into Chinese
- Publish the BitShares Annual Update Report to the entire community
- Promote after publishing
Required Budget:
- Compensation for communicators
- Compensation for editors
- Expense on the technical review
- Expense on translation

Since the idea for the BitShares Annual Update Report Proposal was submitted, we've received a lot of comments from the community. Thanks everyone for your feedback on our proposal. In the meantime, if you are interested in our proposal or want to join us, please feel free to message me.
According to the feedback, we made some adjustments to the proposal and added a detailed budget description:
Proposal Description:
* Summarize BitShares’ progress & achievement in the past year.
* Communicate with BitShares community members, collect and gather the updated information
* Look ahead to the next year
* Edit BitShares Annual Update Report
* Technical review of BitShares Annual Update Report
* Translate the report into Chinese
* Publish the BitShares Annual Update Report to the entire community
Required Budget: (Total: $12,400)
* Compensation for communicators ($60/hour, 80 hours)
* Compensation for editors ($50/hour, 40 hours)
* Expense on technical review ($80/hour, 20 hours)
* Expense on translation ($50/hour, 40 hours)
* Interview 50+ representatives from global BitShares community ($50/hour, 40 hours)
* Gathering feedback and suggestions for BitShares 2019
* Look ahead to BitShares 2020
Team U.S.Blockchain:
* Shirley Dai, Director of Content. Will be facilitating organization, communication, report editing and translations.
* Will Wan, Director of Media Relations. Will be facilitating report editing and media exposure.
