Title: New here, but wondering if this is fair?
Post by: dragon00002008 on March 11, 2014, 02:07:20 am
New here and planning to mine or buy some mmc, but when navigating  http://agran.net/mmc_getbalance.php?top=100 (http://agran.net/mmc_getbalance.php?top=100), I found one address  MVgvtTcrX7A7pW96su5ipfGMReE1f5DzKS which takes up half of the total coin amount! Just wondering who owns this address and MFhWZJFwPgmGtFcATEcXYkbng5sZqzeYtn are also suspectable as have close relationship with the first address. https://coinplorer.com/MMC/Addresses/MVgvtTcrX7A7pW96su5ipfGMReE1f5DzKS (https://coinplorer.com/MMC/Addresses/MVgvtTcrX7A7pW96su5ipfGMReE1f5DzKS)
Can someone give me an answer and convince me ?

Not 100% sure but there has been speculation that MFhWZJFwPgmGtFcATEcXYkbng5sZqzeYtn could belong to bter.com and if I owned bter.com I would definitely be hoarding all the MMC I possibly could

If MFhWZJFwPgmGtFcATEcXYkbng5sZqzeYtn is owned by the largest trading site for now, who owns MVgvtTcrX7A7pW96su5ipfGMReE1f5DzKS ?  :)

I've been studying the markets today (buy and sell orders) (ask and bid prices) on bter, cryptorush and poloniex and I notice that bter's numbers besides being somewhat flawed apear to be manipulated, the reason being that, no mater what happens in the market there always seems to be a sell order for a small amount of MMC that dramaticaly undercuts the price...also when ever I have bought MMC I never see my buy order appear and it doesn’t show in the trade history because of all this I'm starting to suspect that bter.com has manipulated their trade algorithm to force MMC down so that they can hoard them at a cheaper price http://agran.net/mmc_getbalance.php?top=100 as you can see some one is hording MMC massively and I'm just saying, I think it's bter.com why else would MMC be poring in to this "unknown" wallet MVgvtTcrX7A7pW96su5ipfGMReE1f5DzKS from bter's wallet MFhWZJFwPgmGtFcATEcXYkbng5sZqzeYtn at such a constant rate?

Other exchanges do this as well.
Addresses thought to be cryptsy's tend to get very large for specific coins before they add them.

So what your saying is that it could be cryptsy's address in preparation for adding MMC to their trading platform?

The general feeling I get from people is that exchanges don't carry extra reserves of coins. I don't know how often this has been confirmed (or for which exchanges), but most people believe that exchanges don't actually have 100% of their deposits. If this is true, why would they stock up on a coin before adding it to the exchange? Maybe to sell a bunch at high prices before people have had a chance to deposit? Maybe I've answered my own question...

I don't think this address is cryptsy's I just was talking about the fact that they have been suspected of pilling up on a coin way before they add it then making a killing once it is added.
I have no proof it is true other than chatter on the boards about that.

Ah well.
I just wish cryptsy would pick up MMC.

If you've read my posts about mmc and bter...not a big fan of bters market share...something is rotten in the state of MMC...

But..I really do love the site and it's become my only site and they keep improving.  I wish cryptsy or others would cut into bter's mmc share, because 95% of the trading seems to be robo-hedging that just ratchets the price down.

So, if you mine MMC, keep it - don't auto-sell  it...

I feel like a good strategy may be to mine other coins (along with MMC).

Then, BUY MMC at BTER as follows:

1) Market buy in MMC/BTC or MMC/CNY depending on whichever has a lower spread and volume (walls vs action).  BTC preferred.

Robots will build up a CNY sell wall.  If you can take the BTC spread, best to do so for rising prices...

2) Limit buy in MMC/CNY.

This provides support in CNY ups and downs from MMC/BTC...which will take out your buy order...eventually when BTC/CNY moves...
