Good to hear. I'm on the coingrounds order book, waiting for trade. This is much better than using the forum.

I would suggest people not use this exchange until the owner responds - I am currently owed .88btc and 310pts which I withdrew from my account but never showed up.  Silfax is not a shadowy figure so I assume this is in error, but until it's cleared up steer clear of this exchange!

I along with others have been refunded, although after seeing the problems I do not think I will be keeping many funds on this exchange until it seems more stable.

Should be giving credit to Silfax for working with you on this, not bashing him.

That was last night, I actually couldnt find the post to modify it - fixed now.

And working with me was the appropriate thing to do, I do give him credit for doing the right thing but that doesn't mean I feel comfortable suggesting others put money there because its clearly too early in development.

got a major problem, sold 500 pts last night at 0.008,

withdrew 3.8802999 bitcoin and the payment has bounced back from my wallet.

Withdrawal from exchange -

Transaction ID: 8537e6c728e8e163701669f0eb4afbaf530720bd655186aa20e6a93e7a2272a5

payment gone back

Transaction ID: 9d73e236280ef75bf00d7f1e46216e8e0bc266d311cb4ab9eae885fae6d78753

both payments for an identical amount.

Wallet is encrypted and remaining balance is untouched.

Feeling physically sick :(

Hope I havent been scammed

I don't own the address 1CYH... as far as I know - that payment wasn't sent to me. The address you received that at, is that a web wallet/desktop/something else?

With bitcoin there would be no way for me to send the second transaction as you, you would need your private key! Keylogger/etc? Can you get logs from your wallet?

why would the remaining balance be untouched and the exact amount i withdrew from the exchange go back out?

client is the standard bitcoin client with 12 character password.

Remaining balance is still untouched
Title: Re: Coinground Alpha PTS Exchange - trading currently paused
Post by: markj113 on November 11, 2013, 05:47:56 pm
All I know is that I have been using that encrypted standard bitcoin wallet making transactions since 8/4/13 without a single issue.

last night I sold 500 PTS @ 0.007 and transferred 3.88029999 to my wallet

now today that exact 3.88029999 has gone missing from my wallet leaving the remaining balance untouched.

Sounds too much to be a coincidence :(

Exchange owners attitude - tough shit

As put in the chat - the withdrawal hit his personal address, and then stayed there for over 13 hours, before a new transaction cleared out his address. There's no way I could have taken that, and I'm sorry it's gone, but there's nothing I can do once you successfully withdraw.

Quote
(17:39) Silfax: mark, I explained myself as best as I can, but you don't seem to understand
(17:39) Silfax: I didn't take them, there's no way I could have. I have to stop arguing with you now
(17:39) Silfax: I'm sorry they are gone, I don't know why they are
(17:39) Silfax: but it was out of my control as soon as your withdraw got confirmations

Would say your exchange has a big security hole
Title: Re: Coinground Alpha PTS Exchange - trading currently paused
Post by: soniq on November 11, 2013, 06:17:35 pm
You received your withdrawal from the exchange and was confirmed.

Not sure how someone accessed your wallet and withdrew the same amount?

You should post in technical forum at Bitcointalk to see if they can explain?

Hey - I would, however withdrawing was one of the main problems from yesterday, want to make sure it's working well before I reopen. Sorry for the delay, should be soon enough.

Could someone from Coingrounds help me?  I just created an account and tried to desposit .1 BTC into the account.  I sent the deposit to 1AR68LPSbHCYP14cgJrTKdzrbmuYoPSprP.  My account login is davincisolari at gmail.com.  I think that I may have requested a new address before I sent the fund.  Thank you for looking into this.
Thank you!!!

Exchange currently takes 4.985% of my withdrawals, no matter if donation is ticked or not.
This is an issue from the beginning, but donation rate is not constant. Transaction size doesn't matter.

One test transaction: (from fiddler)

Hey everyone, the exchange has moved to https://www.bit-u.com

Here is a PGP signed message from me to the same effect: http://pastebin.com/W3LcvmJ8

My partners who were working on the actual coingrounds project (see www.coingrounds.com) demanded excessive rights and fees to the project, which didn't make sense to me, so it was better to part ways.

Be careful everybody. Silfax stole the code and wallet information from both his partners. You cannot trust him - he transferred everything to a new domain and is currently being served legal documents. Deposit at your own risk

I am sure someone will be interested in reviewing this :-)

I made several withdrawals, largest one was 1000+ pts, didn't have issue.

To be safe, it's always better to limit your risk by keeping smaller balance and making more frequent transfers though.

I've been trading there for days, transfers in and out are processed immediately, silfax is responsive and helpful.

This doesn't prove or disprove the allegations,  but now that they have been made I wish the accuser would handle the situation privately and stop spamming them.

We have resolved our internal issue, and the exchange will be moving back to Coingrounds in the very near future.

Thanks for your support of the exchange and of me, we've got a great community here! :)

Please note: when moving back to coingrounds, I will be joining with two other people in management of the site, so if you wish to withdraw under the current scenario, please do so before 12pm (noon) EST tomorrow, the 21st.
