Our new website is now live at bitshares.org! Our event site will go live on Mar 24 at beyondbitcoin.org. We'll be making further edits and revisions over the weekend so please wait until next week to post suggestions for changes, we'll create a new thread for suggested edits. In the meantime, enjoy our new site!

Do you have coding experience? I understand your sentiments as you worth your investment like a damn sacred thing . Let me remind you that what your are investing is DECENTRALIZED in nature. So NO AMOUNT of investment of yours can say or do to make it fast in terms of developing the core of bitshares. Chill Out. We know that you have a lot of resources but apparently patience is not one of them. You see there are a lot of alt-currencies to invest in.But nothing comes close to the possible opportunities Bitshares may offer.

Looks great! A few niggles I can think of though are when you google bitshares the site isn't in the first two pages of results and if you google bitshares.org the preview must be a pretty old index as it still mentions the 5% on every asset!

I think there is an issue with the site's width. It seems to be a relative width design, which is nice, but on Firefox on my 13'' Mac with a full screen browser window, I am getting a side to side scroll bar which is making the user experience really bad. Please check the relative width parameters.

I'm getting the same things as cassiopaia in Firefox on Ubuntu 13.10. It works in Chrome, though.

BitShares does for business what bitcoin does for money is cool, but it has flaws. Bitcoin is inherently flawed as money, and I don't think we want to imply that. Let's have a small bounty to propose new motto. Thoughts?

Bitcoin isn't inherently flawed as money. Money distribution via POW is a feature of its success, not a bug.
And I don't think insisting on how bad Bitcoin supposedly is will be very welcome by the crypto community.
Bitcoin is awesome, Bitshares too.

Bitcoin is a financial revolution. Bitcoin challenge the financial system and a lots more to be said about. Bitshares only exist because of bitcoin. So to me "BitShares does for business what bitcoin does for money" it is very good in fact I think it is brilliant.

Hey Forum,
The team here in VA went through the entire site this morning looking at everything. We came up with a list 4 pages long of edits/bugs/changes. So please be patient as we get all those taken care of over the next week. We're waiting on the web design company to either move it to wordpress or to gethub so we can make the changes ourselves, which hasn't happened yet.
So you know, most every one of the things you said to change was on our list as well. Once we make all the edits, we'll work on another list, and always strive to continually improve the site. Thanks for your suggestions and check back over the next week as it gets refined.

At one glimpse, the user should understand that Bitshares is about finance, profits, prosperity for everyone etc. maybe use some of the big finance metropolis as a background image. But the current one is definitely not the image we want to express.

OK, but the event is in Vegas, so it sort of relevant ;)
Beyond that, I was more referring to the style of the image with motion.
