TLD: The TLD is the letters immediately following the final dot in an Internet address. A TLD identifies something about the website associated with it, such as its purpose, the organization that owns it or the geographical area where it originates.

Only downside I see with p2p is that it's 3 syllables.

.p2p is the right message, but awkward on the tongue and somewhat difficult to type.
Is .dcn assigned? .decentralized also sends the right message.
.dac and .bts are too limiting.

I think that there should be some points for the TLD:
1. 3 chars
2. easy from remember
3. cool and someone like it
4. the word that people knew it before will be better
How about .abc ? :)
