Title: Price rising too fast
Post by: udeluxe on November 10, 2013, 09:32:58 pm
Seems the price is rising too fast
obviously anyone looking to sell would disagree, and obviously people looking to buy would agree
but really, it's more than doubled in 24hours   >:(

difficulty increased almost ten times, so no surprise, 0.01 is a fair price..

.01 was also the first price - I did the second trade with Bytemaster himself 500 @ .01btc, and miners came out of the woodwork - sellers dried up and the price walked down until it met buyers at around .002, it moved from there up to .0035 over the course of like 2 days and now that the difficulty has gone up 10x, production is a fraction of what it was.

We were finding like 2800 blocks per day instead of the 221 or so we're supposed to be finding per day, and blocks are between 35-40pts, i'm not sure where we are in that.

There are like 500,000 PTS in the wild right now - One assumes miners are holding back, I just wonder where they'll appear.

I'll sell like 100 once the price hit 0.015 - 0.02

This is probably one of the few alts with a bright future

If price surpasses LTC/BTC, (before PTS is accepted by one of the 3 majors exchangers) things will start to get really awkward.

remember, there are like 550k in the wild. once PTS is accepted by an exchange, things will escalate quickly up or down

Someone had to get the ball rolling, I also sold significant amounts at 0.002 and 0.003. Protocol has been adjusted to allow bigger changes than 4x in difficulty, thus we are at quite a high difficulty now.

Has anyone looked at how fragmented those 0.5 million PTS are in the blockchain?

We will get a real "frenesi" when PTS gets accepted by one of the 3 majors exchangers.

I too got two blocks, but at 47.5 coins ea for a total of 95. 8)

Unfortunately I also got two orphans blocks, one due to chance, the other due to my internet connection dying at the worst possible time.  :(

Any news causing the current price spike in China?
PTS is trading over 0.02 BTC on btc38. Cryptsy only slowly catching up.

Most likely just people wanting a piece of BTS, thus converting some of their BTC or alt coins into PTS...
