Title: Keyhotee Founders Claim your BTSX
Post by: bytemaster on July 21, 2014, 06:00:15 pm
If you have BTSX and would like to claim it then I need you contact Stan via PM, email, or some other means and request your funds.   We are sorry this process is manual but we wanted to make sure that those having problems with Keyhotee got their BTSX without issue.

When you make contact, please include your account name that you would like the funds sent to and if it isn't the same as the founder account reserved in the genesis block we will need to verify that you have the PTS address or email of the original.

If you have windows you should be able to download the latest Keyhotee and export your private key.

Any founders who have successfully claimed their name please post here what you did to succeed.  If you are having trouble claiming your name then those who had success may be able to help you.

PLEASE, NO PMs!

Send an email to:

When I try to register account stas (my Keyhotee ID), it says "In method 'wallet_account_create': Assert Exception (10). Does it mean it was squatted too? If yes, are my shares coming from keyhotee founder donation safe?

It is "registered" from genesis on the blockchain for you... It would be a problem if you could register!
So keyhotee accounts can't squatted. NO PANIC it is still yours  ;)

Interessting for keyhotee founders:

So I tried to claim my Keyhotee acccount from genesis block and got the following error message (which seems to imply someone has already used my keyhotee id? How would that be possible?)

10 assert_exception: Assert Exception
false: Account name is already registered under a different key
    {}
    bitshares  wallet.cpp:1228 bts::wallet::wallet::add_contact_account

{"account_name":"onceuponatime","key":"BTSX5yruK4A5KHrUWv2zNMqThjNBwvaG6nhNMQ8hwhrreZX5obbKde"}

The founder ID's are preregistered in the Genesis block.  You claim it by importing your private key from Keyhotee or via the command line using the wallet_import_keyhotee or something similar.

If it was a founder ID it is safe.

I tried the command line wallet_import_keyhotee and got the error message stated above. ie.:
10 assert_exception: Assert Exception

How does one import his private key from Keyhotee? I am running Keyhotee version 0.7.0 but cannot find an export function for private key.

Can we get a quick how-to for exporting our Keyhotee private keys and importing them to BTSX.

Many thanks.

You currently need to use the latest nightly from http://bitshares.org/resources/downloads/ to get the export private key function.

We are working on it. Will be listed here when we have something: http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/BitShares_X_Solutions

I've the same problem as you, my Keyhotee id also starts from a number.

As far as I know, those Keyhotee ids are not written in genesis block and then can't import.

What a sad  :'(

BTW, is there an deadline to claim my BTSX? I want to wait the wallet more stable then claim it...

Note to Keyhotee Founders

If you have been having trouble importing your Keyhotee Founder ID it is probably for this reason:

BTSX is not Keyhotee.  For security reasons, it has its own, more stringent rules for what constitutes a legal name:  <ISO Basic Latin Alphabet, only lowercase alphanumeric characters, dots, and dashes. Must start with a letter and cannot end with a dash.>   Think of them as far more flexible than a bank account number but constrained to facilitate accuracy and avoid name confusion and collisions.

So we tried to give an extra benefit to our Founders by including them in more than just the genesis block of Keyhotee.  We added them to BTSX too.

But some names just won’t work in BTSX.

Of the names that would work, many had never been registered during the long Keyhotee registration process.

So we did what we could and included all the legal <name-public id> pairs we had.

Since so many Founders did not register (probably because of early Keyhotee instability) we decided to award Founders their BTSX shares manually.

If, your Keyhotee ID wasn’t legal under BTSX we’ll let you change it to one that you were able to register instead.  That's where your promotional BTSX will be sent. There is currently no deadline for claiming them, but eventually we will have to figure out what to do with any unclaimed BTSX that remain in our trust.

Just email info@bitshares.org with your original Keyhotee ID and proof that you own it (either the "Founder ID" address from which you donated, or the email address you used when you signed up) and give us the working BTSX name to which you want us to send it.  That name will become your Keyhotee ID.

Meanwhile, Toast is working on a much better namespace solution that will become the common standard for all our future DACs and Keyhotee.  Check his recent posts on the subject.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  It is hard to keep up with how fast our technology is advancing.  Our search for an integrated solution sometimes involves unanticipated compromises across multiple projects.

.. disappointing ..

I'm in the Caribbean all week, sitting in meetings and team building events from sunup to long after midnight, cut off from many of my key resources, swamped with messages from all sources and cursed with an unreliable internet connection.

My level of customer service is therefore much worse than its normal, regrettably still-unacceptable level.

Hopefully the payoff for our stakeholders will be worth it.  :)

Sorry in advance for the silly question to follow...
my kehotee Id is mf-tzo. I see it registered on genesis block. What do I have to do to control this account? I have to do something so when I connect to the windows wallet I can see it next to my other names correct?

please advise step by step in the most easy way possible.

also I haven't yet imported any of my balances from the snapshot as I get severe network connections and the client is unstable. I think I am using 2nd version.
can we have a post on top of the forum notify us everytime there is an updated windows version? Or maybe the client notify us whenever there is an update? Nxt is doing that and is very very helpful..
thanks in advance.

Zeus, do this in the Console screen.  Remember that the argument at the end needs to be the same case you created your ID with.  For example Riverhead vs riverhead.

Example: If you are Sam Smith with no middle name and a passphrase of Sam is the bestest! and your keyhoteeid is Riverhead:

wallet_import_keyhotee Sam "" Smith "Sam is the bestest!" Riverhead

>> help wallet_import_keyhotee Usage: wallet_import_keyhotee <firstname> <middlename> <lastname> <brainkey> <keyhoteeid>

Unbelievably, I am now caught up!

Yes!  I have paid out all Keyhotee Founder BTSX that have claimed them via info@bitshares.org.  (If you have requested them some other way, I have probably missed them during my week in the Caribbean shark tank.)

So, at the risk of burying myself in claims once again,
I hereby bump this thread.

Meanwhile, Toast is working on a much better namespace solution that will become the common standard for all our future DACs and Keyhotee.  Check his recent posts on the subject.

Does that mean funder who used internation characters as account should change their ID in btsx ?
And I would like to known If they  can hold old ID by using internation characters in other DAC and keyhotee , or just keyhotee,or none?

Yes!  I have paid out all Keyhotee Founder BTSX that have claimed them via info@bitshares.org.

Uhh.. Never got mine.
Sent you an email 5 days ago.

I see I wrote "Clain" in the subject instead of "Claim", so maybe that's why you missed it.

Yes, for btsx you need to change to comply with its established rules.
As for KeyID and future DACs, Toast is still working on his Grand Unified Solution.

I have not received any BTSX yet. I have sent an email to info@bitshares.org a couple of days ago.

Should I get worried or not? I understand you are very busy and there is no rush, just want to make sure that my email was received.

Thanks

You need to rescan.
You probably did "wallet_delegate_set_block_production ALL false" then rescanned then "... true" again.

do you imported your keys from your btc and/or pts wallet's?
Or have you only get funds from external exhanges like bter?

PS maybe it is a stupid question but it's the first thing came to my mind  ;)

Hi Stan, thanks for btsx you sent,
im a little confused, does this btsx include those shares from AGS/pts/btc donation?
because i calculated the amount i recieved upon current price plus PTS amount on 28februaury snapshot on current price and total sum barely cover 1/5 of my initial investments into project.
or i need to transfer ags amount myself later?

No the founder shares are one day worth of ags split over all founder donations equally .. the other 199 day of ags donations are extra and you can access your stake using the privkeys of your sending addresses

2. The balance is shown zero, although Stan advised that he has sent me the BTSX

mf-tzo it sounds like the account is not associated with your wallet.  Are you sure you've claimed it with the wallet_import_keyhotee?  You won't see a balance and it won't show up in your account list until it is associated.

I did claim it with the wallet_import_kehotee. Not sure if I have done it correctly but I assume I did that correctly since I can see that
"balances" is zero. If this wasn't my account or I have done something wrong I shouldn't be able to see at all "balances". Correct?

Also I get a message all the time "RPC server error. Wallet_list_account assert exception (10)

I am running on a buggy version? Should I re install the client? on console it says it is 7 days old. Is there a newer version after that? Do I just make a copy of the whole wallet default folder in case of re install or is there something else I should copy in case of back up?

ooouuufff....so many problems...so many questions...sorry guys but i need some help..

You see balance of zero for any account that isn't yours.  Try to import it again via the console and make sure it says "OK" or "Success!" I forget which.

Also remember that if your Keyhotee ID had caps you'll need to put caps in the command.  For example my Keyhotee ID of Riverhead but BTSX acount of riverhead

wallet_import_keyhotee Sam "" Smith "My brain key went here" Riverhead

Not the "" where the middle name would go if you supplied it.  If you didn't use it, like I didn't, you have to send in the null character by using the two empty quotes without a space.  Also, if you have the - in your ID you might want to also try it with your Keyhotee ID in quotes.  Try different combos, you can't hurt yourself by trying over and over till you get the combo right.  Took me a few tries.

Thank you very much Riverhead!

Everything is working fine now! :) :)

I can see my balance sent by Stan. Thank you very much Stan!

Apparently I haven't registered my ID properly... (idiot...). I have used only small letters

However I am curious. You say
Quote
You see balance of zero for any account that isn't yours.
.
I cannot see the field "balances" at all for any account that isn't mine. But I was able to see the field "balances" for mf-tzo even if it didn't belong to me apparently at that time and was showing zero. It was like i had partially correctly registered my ID because the brain key that I put was correct but not the capital letters of my ID. Could this be a bug?

In any case I am a very happy person now  :)

I don't see kikky on the list of Founder's id. I guess you did not donate and request a Founder's id, just downloaded Keyhotee client and picked that id.

But go into your PTS and BTS wallets and double check to see if you sent 10PTS or the equivalant BTS.

Run Keyhotee, go to Contacts, select your Identity, at the end of Public Key field (close to yellow registered with) you should see 2 small buttons, last with small key = "Copy Private Key to the clipboard".

I got an email from Stan.

He said his wife dragged him on a vacation and they currently have really crappy internet. He said he will deal with the keyhotee founders IDs when he gets back.

Let him relax, he's worked hard :D

I know I registered it once early in the year and my name was in gold. Did founders names need to be re registered a second time? If so I didn't do it.
