Title: *Final, guaranteed* allocation.
Post by: toast on August 07, 2014, 08:48:47 pm
20% AGS
20% PTS
10% Developer
50% (theoretical max) for Delegates, effectively whichever outside teams the developer chooses.

Equivalent to:

40% AGS
40% PTS
20% Developer
Diluted up to 2x to pay outsiders for whatever we want

Deal with it, start talking about where the remaining 50% needs to be spent.

great  +5%

a soon decision is better for the PTS buyers, or anyone who is interested in investing in PTS

Delegate subsidy equation (assuming 10 second blocks):
     block_pay = delegate_subsidy_remaining / 5000000
So the *maximum* number of new tokens created after T years is given by:
     7000000000 - (7000000000 * (1 - 1/5000000)^((3153600)*T))
(there are 3153600 blocks per year)

Good luck with the DAC Toast!

Same formula:

block_subsidy = remaining_pool / 5000000
remaining_pool -= remaining_pool / 500000

Toast, could you please elaborate the meaning of "effectively whichever outside teams the developer chooses"? confused. do you mean delegates still getting up to 50% but may relocate some % of this part for other purpose ?

I just mean that with 20% of the initial stake it would take a true rebellion for AGS/PTS holders to outvote the core devs. As time goes on and more and more of the dev fund is spent, the devs will lose control.

LOL, you will be controlled by I3 for sure......
BTW., the most valuable asset for DNS is the domain names from long term prospective

50% for the delegates

to clear it

- if ALL the 101 delegate choose to burn 100% from day one, till the end the max cap of DNS will be 5 Bn (not really likely)
- if ALL the 101 delegate choose to burn 0% from day one, till the end the max cap of DNS will be 10 BN (not really likely)

- if the burnrate is with BTSX compareable than we will see something like 85% for the delegate and 15% burnrate. so we could expect max DNS available to be 9 Bn in the end.

so in the beginning 101 initial delegates will be collecting fees for the DEVS? so for some time the DEVS fund will increase, because the replacement will take time.

I'm OK with that. The scope of the task is huge. I feel they will earn every shilling.

I was kind of hoping there would be allocations to Namecoin holders to get them interested in Bitshares DNS but I trust that Toast and team know what's best!

Although I do not own any NMC, this sounded like a really good move.

How many DNS should we receive per PTS and AGS respectively?

Thanks!
