Title: BTSX as the proto-DAC for BTSX-derived chains
Post by: speedy on August 16, 2014, 08:54:11 pm
Can we get some more details about this? Stan was reminding us that BTSX is the proto-DAC for BTSX-derived chains.

Does this refer to a chain for assets pegged to company stocks for example?

How many BTSX derived chains will there be?

Will shares in the new DAC be allocated 1:1 for every BTSX, or will there be dilution to pay for development?

Makes me wanna buy mooore BTSX :)

Also, given that Bitshares uses TITAN stealth addresses, does this present problems copying everyone's balances into the genesis block of the new chain?

Maybe .. or asset-peg to resources .. bitSilver, bitPlatinum, ..

If all goes well every single asset  wants to be traded that way :)

I don't think there currently are concrete plans already ... once the market
peg plays out the devs probably want to sth. new to work on :)
So who knows ..

Every transaction goes to an address .. how exactly ownes that address does not matter ..
new genesis blocks can simply take the balances of all those transactions an
use that as initial stake .. stake holders will have to use the SAME private
key to import their share .. that is a well known security issue when it comes
to third party DACs and the devs are working on it.
