Title: PTS price will jump again like 2.28? how to avoid?
Post by: sudo on August 17, 2014, 08:55:23 am
if it's possile   tested  A wide range of public beta  before  snapshot &release?
Fully preheat&Let the public fully understand the advantages of the product.

the loss of price difference Before and after snapshot  is too big  such as 2.28
buy btsx after snapshot is cheaper than hold PTS

PTS1=price before  snapshot
PTS2=price after snapshot

when  PTS1-PTS2>price of DAC

who will hold PTS to wait snapshot?

so true ... swinging as usual ...
question is: will the price drop before the snapshot or after?

This is exactly like when a stock gives out a dividend to everyone holding shares at a specific time.  The price of the stock drops at exactly that time, exactly according to what the market thinks the difference is worth, exactly as it should.

What's changing the script, in my opinion, is that BTSX is going wild and about to take off. Anyone who knows BitShares at all realizes this is an historic buying opportunity. So we'd all like DNS and Vote shares, but BTSX offers us a chance to own part of a new paradigm. I think that's why there's been some early dumping of PTS...robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I don't understand what the problem here is.  Is the difficulty of PTS changing around this time and people are saying that will mess up the market... or is this just a general we don't a big upswing leading up to snapshot for some personal reason?

Can someone explain to me the concerns ?

question is: will the price drop before the snapshot or after?

Why would price drop before snapshot ?

If the combined value of DNS + VOTE + EVERYTHING ELSE fell like the rest of the industry then PTS price will fall.

The reason is crypto currencies are having to deal with stronger fiat counterpart. This is really an advantage for investor . Once the index (BTC) has started to peak , then it is really gonna be a good sign for PTC investors .

The only logic for this is - if everybody expects the price to drop after the snapshot and a lot of people do not want to fall behind the curve (i.e. everybody trying to be a step before the market). This could happen. Not likely but can.
