After Entering my password, the screen says...
"Scanning transactions - 100%, please wait"
It never gets any farther.
The app crashed just before this started happening. here is the most recent crash log.

After playing with it some more, it seems to be just the gui that is hanging.
I was able to use the Accounts menu, and also Command+Shift+A to go to the Accounts screen. but the "scanning transactions - 100%, please wait..." is still there.
The only gui controls that work are the ones across the top... Lock, Transfer and Add Contact.
The screen looks like this...

Dang... I thought we fixed this particular issue. We will try to replicate it.

Dang... I thought we fixed this particular issue. We will try to replicate it.
If it helps, here is exactly what I did to make it happen.
App was running normally.
I clicked the red button to close the window.
Dialog box came up saying something like "have to use Quit from menu to really quit, app will keep running in background".
I clicked OK. (I did not click "don't warn me again)
At this point I forget. Either the app just crashed, or I click the icon in the dock and it crashed.
Next time I opened the app I got the gui bug.

My latest mac version is stuck scanning transactions at 0%.
I can also 'Go to My Accounts' and things seem somewhat orderly there except for the aforementioned GUI specific issues including a bogged-down 'scanning transactions' animation.
I believe I created this by forceful quitting amidst some crashy businesses.

Dear idealist,
how did you defeat your OS X GUI hiccups? I glean from your more recent posts that you're having new problems since.

Dunno if this is strictly GUI, since I fixed my issue by renaming all but the wallet dir in Application Support, and restarting as per usual.
