Title: BTSX is showing itself stronger than Bitcoin
Post by: bluebit on September 23, 2014, 06:15:02 pm
If you look at the 30 day chart of BTSX starting on Sep 17th you can see the blue and orange lines separate, on Sep 17th the Bitcoin price was dropping and BTSX is stilling holding it's value

BTSX click on 30 day chart: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitshares-x/#charts

The same thing also happened with NXT: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nxt/#charts

Sep 17th Bitcoin price falls: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#charts

Other cryptos are just following Bitcoin, very interesting that only BTSX and NXT have been holding there value.

Or it could be a selling of BitUSD for BTSX

That's normal with something that's new and "hyped". Remember when facebook first came out the trading volume was high then it "dried up" for a little. Same thing is going to happen with BTSX.

Interesting selling pressure as BTC rallies - perhaps folks moving from BTSX to BTC.

I wonder why they're not buying bitBTC?

Actually, there hasn't been much sell pressure at all. It's more important to watch the price movements on btc38 vs the CNY, as that's where 75% of the volume is. And against CNY Bitshares has actually risen today, from the upper .18's to the mid .195's. The problem is with rising BTC price, the BTC price of Bitshares will appear to go down, when in actuality the market cap is rising....
