Front page of /r/bitcoin on a high traffic day. This is cool.
This section allows you to view all posts made by this member. Note that you can only see posts made in areas you currently have access to.
I don't think you have insulted Roger Ver and Erik Vorhees yet. Perhaps you can call their wives fat in your next blog post and then all influential bitcoin leaders will be motivated to see bitshares fail.
Your seriously killing me right now.
I took out the criticism of their economic perspective out of respect for your opinion. I certainly tried very hard to attack the ideas and not the people, but obviously not everyone is able to separate an idea from their ego and thus could see this as a personal attack.
My prediction: Ethereum is launched around march and will reach $100 million, putting it in the number 3 spot.
We have a user base (roughly 30,000 to 60,000 users based on bitsharesblocks data, 30k in the qt and 30k on bter/btc38/etc dont quote me on this and dont go to much into detail about this part its the useless part)
The part that matter is this (A call to arms):
Our network effect is not growing rapidly it user accounts are about 300 - 600 a month on the qt. We need the network effect to expand, we need a general advertising campaign BARING the fact that we do not have a blockchain.info type site. We need the snowball effect to occur. Once this happens we will be able to spearhead Ethereum, because frankly, our network effect may be thwarted if we do not act and act quickly.
I understand that 1.0.0 is coming out in Feb 2015 but means only 1 month before Ethereum is planning to come out. How do we gain traction if we have only 1 month before our biggest and our Goliath competitor comes out.
We need traction now! As Chairman Mao (a bad person) once said "Let a hundred flowers blossom" we need 100 paid delegates and now. It doesnt matter if they are not so skilled or so good we have the power to vote them out if they are not good. But we need 100 paid 100% delegates who are screaming at the roof tops "Hey over there come join the revolution, we are going to have all the money in the world, come over here!"
How about a free copy of Bitshares 101 when people download the software? :-)
Hi,
Equality and being inclusive is part of the bitshares that attracts many.
Yet, for example, a developer is often referred to as 'he' and 'his'.
Although, you might consider it as reflective,
it can easily become 'projective' as in the latest newsletter:QuoteAn artist can either go to iTunes or Spotify where he is just another drop in the ocean or he can come to PeerTracks where we can pretty much guarantee he will be listened to by a ton of incentivized users looking for a future star.
... the artist can up-sell his fans ...
thus excluding half of human population and violating equality and inclusive ideals of bitshares and scaring people off.
Some practices to avoid sexism:
1) use plural pronouns: "The developers have dreams. They want to bring equality to people."
2) use 'he or she': "A developer may easily be hired by the bitshares blockchain. He or she just need to ..."
Thanks.
Dear community,
My name is Francesco Simonetti and together with Nickolay Babenko and Andrey Zamovskiy we are co-founders of HolyTransaction.com , universal multicurrency wallet.
We started with the development for the integration of BitUSD as a deposit method.
We are looking for a 100% pay delegate to fund development of a BitShares Gateway.
Delegate funds will initially be used to pay a developer to implement bitUSD.
I started the Italian Public Chat for BitShares with Spartako

Inspired by Stan's article, you can decrypt this story to spread the message of the blockchain era

Short term goals are:
- Enable bitUSD deposits
- Have On/Off ramp with Bitcoin and supported cryptocurrencies
- Have On/Off ramp with EUR
Then 50% funds will be used to give a signup bonus (10 bitUSD) for all new customers who make their first bitUSD or bitcoin purchase.
We have bigger plans for BitShares in Europe.
Please, feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks
Francesco
