It's the beauty of being able to have exchange integrated into the blockchain. The exchange provides the revenue for the blockchain to function. Instead of charging for electricity and asics, we charge for functionality. Prediction market, bond market, stealth transactions, smart contracts, etc. These are value-adds that we can charge for and make profit from.

The thing is, with this we can maximize the use of those same features. We can maximize the use of the DEX side of BitShares, bond markets, prediction markets, all of it.

We can potentially solve our fee struggle and guess what, Bitcoin and even other cryptos will still be at it. A new sunshine appears. Let's just hope this can be properly delivered assuming it gets funded.
You are right ! We have to deliver this properly. It's our chance to change the way BitShares is perceived !

I hope we will be able to keep a steady open conversation with the devs during the process, feed the BM amazing idea with our constructive feedback as a smart community and finally stryke the crypto sphere with revolutionary new way to deal with fees and blockchains.

We could have 0 bts/Tx for anything below 10$. Wich could be great for marchant as coffee shop, newspaper store, ect..
Then we could charge 0.1% up to 1000€ to compensate for the fees not generated below 10€. (I'm thinking about for the Ref. Prog.)

I can't wait to read somewhere on the net in the next weeks/month our first article explaining how we manage to make the first real time blockchain free of transaction fees ... it will change our (greedy) image A LOT and we will make peace with the chinese community.

I'm all for it ! This is a genius idea !

It will be hilarious because everyone will immediately say "There's no such thing as zero fees blockchain". Only thing I'm curious about is the price, even though this is something that again, places us ahead of the rest, alt for example and I'm sure other members too, will not approve anything that creates dilution.
Lol, you're right !

After "3 sec blocks ... must be centralised"

We will have "free Tx ... must be a scam"

General Discussion / Re: What if we let the registrars set the LTM price?
« on: February 04, 2016, 04:37:57 pm »
Won't we upset our most loyal bts members who paid 100$ for them LTM ??
But the point is we have this problem already. If you give me a public key of your choice I can register a LTM account for you for just $25 (this is a serious offer).
Are you upset that you've paid $100 to OpenLedger?

Would it be possible to do something similar but with "annual members" ? So LTM still have a valued product that anybody is giving for free and they also keep having part of the fee produce by the annual members and the basics accounts below ?
Absolutely, annual membership should be included in this solution.
It's just that it seems that we don't stop loosing loyal old members of this community with these kind of changes.
That said, I find the idea rather interesting and original ?

I wouldn't be upset as long as I perceive the long term benefit for BitShares but I not everybody is watching the far horizon of BitShares as I do. I'm not proposing any solution, just underlining a possible consequence.

I understand what you said about your proposition (25$). You are right !

I still feel that LTM and AM (annual) could be articulate in an interesting way with your proposal. I just don't have it very clear in my mind at the moment. I'll keep thinking about it. [emoji6]

General Discussion / Re: [poll] Sharebits or Sharebit?
« on: February 03, 2016, 11:06:41 pm »
IMO, if you consider these tokens are the shares of your company, they should have the same name, sharebitS.

I think the UIA without a S (as the fistbump) make more sence when it's a money kind token or an emotoken.

Just like the shares of the company "general motors" are not the "general motor"

You should take a look at what QORA is doing. They already have something like you mentioned.

Someone ...

It would be nice some basics explanations about DPOS, UIA, MPA, FBA, our 3sec / Tx, maybe what is happenning with our fees and the BSIP10.
Also cover the actual project like openliedger, POS, metaexchange, bitcash, gamebet, ... so ppl realize thatba lot is happenning and it's a good time to invest.

Is it all that possible ? Because just our banner and a few words won't change a thing. It's a good opportunity to evolve awarness around BTS.

Sent 5k ;)

Come on guys, let's keep funding the accound and put BTS in the DailyDecript for 3-4 weeks !

Yep ;p

Muse/SoundDAC / Half of my NOTE missing when importing in MUSE
« on: January 29, 2016, 02:58:09 pm »
Hi,

I imported json file from 0.9.3c in the last release of the MUSE client, enter the password and after a while it shows around 40k keys and my balances to claims.

The total of my MUSE to claim is about half of what I had in NOTE.

I was one of the members who couldn't import in BTS 2.0 because if the high number of keys.

I didn't hit the import button, tried it a couple of times to be sure and here I am ;p

Check the revenue of bitsharesfcx, the few accounts we have referred at the moment gave us a couple hundreds bts.
So, one year, 3 persons working on making BitShares accessible to any french speaker. All of that work for less than 200 bts ... 0.5$
You are right ! Shame on us !!! ;p

These ridiculous few bts we gain were not taking from BitShares, they came from the users. The very same users we place in the system.

You just demonstrate here that referral system didn't work for you. You didn't bring active users into system, but you paid ridiculous LTM fee, 80% of which went to another referrer.
I'm not expecting to win money right now. I just wanted to help to spread information about BitShares with two friends.
When BM explain the RP in past june, it cheers up our little team and we push our project further because we saw that we could have fun with it but also maybe one day have some nice incomes from it.
So I would say, the RP works very well.
