Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Stealth Transfers Worker Proposal
« on: November 19, 2015, 05:47:35 am »
holy moly - 45.000 USD?

not at this point in time.

i agree with lil_jay890. focus at the mission and then we can take this points.

I disagree that anonymity the most important... The most important is as follows

1. Fees for trading updated per the worker proposal
2. Referral program for trading fees
3. API for 3rd party platforms and liquidity bots

We are a decentralized exchange. We have finally discovered what we are and what we are niche is.  Most people never get a chance to discover that much less exploit it... DON'T GET DISTRACTED!

Is it ok to send BTC from exchange to buy METAFEES?
or do i need to download bitcoin client send through it?

It helps to have your own refund address in case something goes wrong with the transfer; have you not got a blockchain.info account?

I can create an blockchain.info account thanks
How can I get a METAFEES address on Openledger? I'm new to this stuff
I created an account on Openledger and I saw METAFEES on the assets page but how do I create an address?

Sorry for silly questions but i'm new to bitshares and don't really know how it works.  :D

hi Lollero,

thanks for your interest in bitshares and metaexchange.

so you created your bitshares account if i understand it correct

at the moment you can buy METAFEES via metaexchange.info

send BTC, ETH, or NXT directly and get your METAFEES into your bitshares account. In bitshares you do not need an address. Everything is handled with your accountname.

if you have still questions let me know.

General Discussion / Re: User issued asset price feed
« on: November 16, 2015, 05:49:56 pm »
UIAs have no pricefeeds

compare it to sending BTC into Poloniex. They call it BTC, but you are actually trading internal UIAs from Poloniex. Till you are sending out, then you have BTC again.

It is the same system, but in bitshares the current available UIAs are called trade(Blocktrades), metaex(metaexchange) and openCOIN(openledger)

in the future more UIAs will join and you can hop between different exchanges instantly and if you dont like the counterparty risk go into pegged assets with a feedprice (counterparty free, pegged with collateral)

would be like instant transfer from bittrex into poloniex, because you see a great abitrage opportunity. over time this will hopefully evolve in bitshares.

General Discussion / Re: Should bitshares.org use referral link
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:49:41 am »
I'd rather see someone be funded to take care of "public relations". The domain itself costs what? $12/yr? It's hosted for free on github?
All we need to pay is someone to take care of it (e.g. cass or fuzzy or someone else).
Since it's written using Markdown files (jekyll) it's not too difficult to keep it up to date.

but someone gets this income for free, but it is not the community.

General Discussion / Should bitshares.org use referral link
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:18:34 am »
Hi guys,

in a different thread a ask who owns bitshares.org and the domain is owned via Invictus.

The question was, why we don't use the referral program on the mainsource to get more funds for the community?

- Some had concerns, that the main source of trust, should not a referral link.

As a community we are wasting every day referral income, because we don't generate income. In my opinion this makes no sense. We decided to go this path, so we should
use the possibility also on the mainsource for the community.

I think a account should be generated as a lifetime member and the committee members should sharing autority of him. With this setup, we will generate a great source of income
the community can spend on things fast and quick, without to get a worker proposal granted.

But i wanted to know how you all feel about it. So should we make all links on bitshares.org referral links also?

Technical Support / Re: owner bitshares.org

sure .. (for me in personal, a referral link doesn't build same trust as NO-referral) - AND if we would do this .. i would prefer to fund the site development due the referral ... currrently this work is unpaid ..

sorry, and the point is?

this community decided to go the referral path, so we should use him. Makes no sense to not get referral income from the main source (bitshares.org).

so, as of now, the question was answered, i will start a new thread to get opinions.

this thread can be closed

i want them to trade on our exchange. in my opinion it is not a good idea.

we need active user.

342

but if you downloaded the lightwallet i suspect you need to download a newer version.

we are constantly looking for income, but why is the bitshares.org website not a referral?

- it could be a steady income for funding etc.

- we need just a lifetimeaccount in control of the committee members

- we should fix this

Technical Support / owner bitshares.org

i would like to know who is the owner and in control of bitshares.org

and who will get all the referral fees from their side?

i see only the openledger wallet promoted and not the other walletpartners, so is it Cryptonomex?

@Shentist I think you too are conflating revenue splitting with valuation. There are 250k shares for everyone at $0.18/share. How the revenue is then divided up is a different set of numbers. Since there isn't any revenue yet there's no way to add that into the mix.

if you see it this way - ok!
