General Discussion / Re: AI on the blockchain

neural nets are susceptible to curve fitting... it may find a local maxima for sure better than nothing but far from truth. I think prediction markets are more powerful.

Technical Support / Re: Privacy (developers click me!)

I don't think any privacy tech out there today is truly private.. Tor isn't private.. It also slows down blockchain syncing.

I have a feeling cny traders will like it and start buying instead of dumping

My twitter feed brought up a case recently in NYC where a dude selling BTC was asked to meet in a car where they pulled a gun out and made him transfer his BTC.  Which goes to show why if you are to do person to person transfers, stay in a starbucks or somewhere that dampens the risk of being robbed.  Or carry a gun and be ready to use it and roll the dice !!
sucker is the guy who wants to sell his btc nevertheless in a randoms car.

I'll update my delegate in few days

Random Discussion / Re: Charles Hoskinson

He's just another guy with ideas and some math behind him but is lazy or lacks dev skills to make it happen. If it's not based on his ideals he walks.. Im sure nothing will be 100% based on his thoughts on how bts transformed..

General Discussion / Re: Micropayment channel with bitUSD
« on: June 06, 2015, 03:09:41 am »
You need the withdraw conditions on the blockchain to have a timestamp condition built into them to "lock up the funds" and the structure of these transactions is not compatible with what we have planned for Monday.

That said, the value of this kind of micropayment channel is not lost on me and we are looking into options.
Kinda like nLockTime? Is there an checklockverifytime equivalent?

General Discussion / Re: Merchant Adoption Issues
« on: June 01, 2015, 02:35:54 pm »
I forked a lot of the bitpay plugins to work with bitshares for ecommerce sites... So we already have head start in ecommerce direction

The beauty of bts is that we use current checkout currency ie usd and allow payment for the bitasset version ie BitUSD so it's very seamless from a merchant and consumer pov

That's awesome! Can you point me to something to learn more?

General Discussion / Re: The Key is Burning BTS
« on: June 01, 2015, 02:33:01 pm »
That*s why it is good to vote for delegate martin-38ptswarrior-raum
62 percent get burned and you get face-to-face marketing to makers in the wealthy city of Stuttgart, where they invented the car.

Yes.. I find this thread so ironically contrary to this push back in the past to 100% delegates being somehow a boon to bitshares value growth.

Vote for artin-38ptswarrior-raum and vote for http://vote.bunkermining.com .. we got 5 more delegates that need to be voted in that will put 100% of its bts into generating more liquidity, transactions, and users!

We are only short term though.. so once we have the updated infrastructure all done and we reached the profitability we need to move forward we would just start burning the BTS until we got voted out. This would accomplish nearly 30k of BTS a day being burned like was suggested to be the sweet spot.

Act today!
We know

The juggernaut has moved to 142 today... do expired shorts change their price automatically like that? Or is someone babysitting this order?
Yes the blockchain

I think we see the crypto scene exploding not hard to see.

390
I think its cause people believe an alt coin will dethrome
bitcoin since bitcoin has mining centralizatiom problems and no consensus on protocol changes esp the 20mb issue.

Bts offers more tps to fall inline with visa mastercard. They prob just pick the top 5 coins with dev teams and bought up.. will probably be back.. seems its a coordinatrd buying spree.
