IOTA/Tangle is slightly similar, but it builds a single transaction tree in which transactions are confirmed more quickly when they increase convergence between the most significant branches.  Each transaction references at least 2 existing transactions, similar to TAPOS.

IOTA has a token. Also, its POW, and not much like TAPOS at all, since TAPOS references a block not a transaction, and is POS not POW :)

I like IOTA for many reasons, it just needs some refinements :)

I remember there was a concept of a mesh-chain where each account is its own blockchain.   I cannot seem to find a link now... help

I am looking for any and all protocols that do not have a core token.  Any help doing this research would be appreciated.

So far I have Hyperledger and Interledger and perhaps Tao chain.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Worker Proposal - Asset pool fee funding
« on: October 28, 2015, 09:42:02 pm »
Dear stakeholders,

I have funded the asset pool funds today, for the second time.

We're funding a total of 14000 BTS per day (4000 CNY, 4000 USD, 2000 EUR, 2000 GOLD, 2000 SILVER), but unfortnatually I made a mistake in my calculation and set the daily payrate to only 10000 BTS. As a result, the worker funds will not last until the projected end. Also this proposal was voted in 6 days after the initial start date, so that further decreases available funds. The funds are projected to last until November 12. I have uploaded a file for you to review here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_so41Ogm44a871ZVjIWyZXhQptGi7i0dNFvfeyY8gng/edit#gid=0

I'm in the process of writing a script that automatically fills the pools, which should be ready by the weekend. Until then I will fill the pool manually.

Thank you,

Best regards

Great job on transparency!

Are the tags correct?
2.0.151027 is a lower version number than the previous release 2.15.294

that causes problems for people with automated version checking, and is different than the previously announced versioning system
Apparently 294 which is day-of-year is harder to read. 151027 is a date but easier to read.
I wonder why not use 2.15.1027 for better compatibility.

We would like to reserve the 2.X  as the hard fork number.

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares price discussion

It doesn't help that nobody is trying to get btc38 online.  This is a big reason for the downtrend.

I am more than willing to help.   Show me a question they have asked that hasn't been answered.

Those are supposedly RUB and SEK .. It may have been caused by a malious price from yahoo but I can't tell for sure ..

Total amount of value involved in those swans is less than $10.

Please give us a pull request with your wallet integration components!   I really want to see this well integrated.

I love the business model!

Thanks :)

I sent you a PM with a patch in, did you get it?

Probably fell through the cracks... create an issue on github with the patch.

Ok.. txs can now be looked up by hash (if they were included in a block):

http://cryptofresh.com/tx/a5fea9b2abaaededabd4bd9af22e1e95da9f8ef2

I still don't get why get_block returns the hash but NOT the id... and get_object(1.11.x) returns the id and block_num but NOT the hash.
Is there any way to get the tx id and hash in the same call?

Great work but it should probably include the block number the transaction was included in as well.

Also, the URL should support the confirmation ID format used in the GUI

General Discussion / Re: Witness Alerts and Status

All full nodes should be restarted with --replay-blockchain until a patch can be released.

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,19538.msg250655.html#msg250655

Failure to replay on startup may cause your node to fork when a vesting balance is claimed.

Ben and I have discovered the root cause for the loss of consensus and have a temporary fix that can be used by all witnesses.

The problem was a single field which we failed to serialize when saving chain state to disk.  Any node that didn't replay the chain on startup would have this field reset to 0.

We will be releasing a fix for this along with several other fixes by the end of the week.   In the meantime, all full nodes should always replay the blockchain on startup by using the --replay-chain argument.
