Trying to set up a dedicated node. I built successfully.

I can't seem to be able to get any data.

Well, it took 5 minutes for mine. In any case we should put a giant warning somewhere, to please break your deposits into smaller chunks.

Read post above. If you are producing blocks, the problem may be on your end...

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH DEPOSITS!

If I'm producing blocks - I get the infamous "duplicate" transaction. It doesn't post until I stop production and rescan, and even then shows as duplicate in history. When I clear pending, it disappears from the ledger.

However BTER did receive it. But I would highly recommend you send in small chunks JUST IN CASE!!!

Bloody hell - I had turned off production, because of the wallet transfer issue. I got elected in the meantime  I've set production to on now, but my stats are terrible just because of that.

I should have close to 100% reliability from here on now. It would be nice if setting production off, releases your slot temporarily to others who are eager to produce blocks.

Oh come on MaidSafe coins didn't have withdrawal for way longer than that, price collapsed to like 40% of the original crowdsale price. Then it surpassed it.

On another note, here is my next prediction - as soon as withdrawals work, price will skyrocket. The delegates situation is now a little bit like a pissing contest - egos and greed wil kick in, and some BTC whale will buy everything in sight so they can "mine".

:)

General Discussion / Re: What's with the massive dump on BTER?
« on: July 22, 2014, 03:54:58 am »
I explained this a few times - People felt trapped, there has been very little marketing so you have lots of people who want to sell and few who want to buy.

This is why I said the prices you were dealing at before were way too high, and were not real.  It's not about "faith" it's about market dynamics.

Perfectly aware the dump was inevitable. I'm loving it and embracing it. :)

For a moment I thought that we might have gone liquid there. :)

You can always turn off sections of this forum you are not interested in.

Then the other problem is searching for something would now need to be done in two places.

don't forget to activate block production again...

wallet_delegate_set_block_production ALL true

If only I was close to being a delegate, oh wait, I am! yay!! :)

Correct. Shutdown and restore - same thing. Interesting to note that pending transaction was to register a new user including a delegate. Then in pending errors it claimed it was duplicate. So I cleaned pending. Shut down restored. And user appears to be registered. But then sending to that user - nothing just sits in pending. I haven't tried to see to my other usernames

have you tried:

wallet_delegate_set_block_production ALL false

wallet_rescan_blockchain

...or is it not related?

Go figure - that worked!

What about my proposal above? To just use proof of stake but only limit to delegates. That way all delegates get to represent exactly the % of votes they got.

I.e. Don't pick a number like 100. Just do age burn of their voted power.
