only when i try to backup on mac client it freeze and nothing happens. and i see no backup file that would be created.
but seems to work now on both web wallet and client. including value of old account

did you export your wallet through version 0.9.3c and console? > http://blog.smartcoin.pw/2015/09/bitshares-how-to-prepare-your-wallet.html
Doesn't work for me. Says Invalid format.
try and rename the ending to wif
example.wif replace the txt ending

ok little tricky but i get it
i export txt file from webwallet. the ending i rename to WIF and then i can import it into new wallet.
now i test it with the mac client
