Technical Support / What is virtual transaction / operation?
« on: November 22, 2017, 12:25:07 pm »
What is a transaction, that has "virtual" in the place of it's ID?

How is it possible that an account was registered few minutes ago, but have sent and received BTS already 2 to 34 days ago?

See the corresponding account on Block Explorer: https://www.cryptofresh.com/u/p-23

Poloniex wallet is currently disabled, now I see what is an apparent outgoing transaction. What does this mean?

Subbeh, are you sure you sent your coins a month ago? Can you share the link to the transaction on Block Explorer?

Yes, for those of us, who deposited after 9th November the coins were not credited.

Technical Support / BitShares problems on exchanges - explanation?
« on: November 14, 2017, 07:03:38 pm »
BitShares trading have been recently suspended on Bittrex, and now Poloniex suspended their wallet, people deposits hanging in the air.

@bitshares tweeted that they are in contact with Polo in order to resolve the issues (https://twitter.com/bitshares/status/930005105511890945).

More info on this for us tech crowd?

I think as a community we deserve explanation, although I understand that the preliminary speculation might be sensitive.

Poloniex currently has deposit issues with BTS. Submit a ticket and wait for them to resolve the issues. Probably no need to panick now, however I and others are in the same situation and it does not make me comfortable either.

Hi inarizushi,

there is BTS wallet maintenance at Polo, seems like some systematic problem. On Twitter I have found four or five other guys that are having same issue like us. Let us hope that Polo will fix BTS wallets soon.

Ok, thank you for the info. Polo support seems to be working on the issue now.

I have accidentally double post this thread. In the other one, another guy comments with the same issue, I have cited your (fav) reply there. So if a moderator deems appropriate, feel free to delete this thread.

Hi, sorry to hear about your issue.

I have accidentally double-posted this thread. Sorry for this, but it does not feel appropriate deleting it now when there is a reply in both. In any case, in the other thread the user "fav" replies:

"you did send the bts and poloniex received it. you don't see it because we currently do not cache the history to this point."

So maybe this is really an issue of block explorer and not the network.

On the matter of Poloniex deposit, I have got a response from support today (3rd day since the issue). They are asking for another deposit of a tiny amount of BTS, in order for them to check the origin. I did as they requested and am waiting for the reply. Will update you here when I have more information.

PS. The response I got reads like this:
From where did you send this? Was it another site? If yes, please send us a screen shot of your withdrawal history on that site containing the transaction. If it was a personal wallet please send exactly X.XXXXXX from the same origin but this time using the unique Memo.ID from your balances page.

I have been using always the same memo (I can even see it in my wallet transaction history), so pretty sure that is not the problem.

Technical Support / Transaction (in-)visibility in block explorer
« on: November 10, 2017, 02:14:56 pm »
Dear All,

I assumed that any transaction (transfer from one address to another) would be both visible in the block explorer when browsing the "sender" wallet as well as "recipient" wallet.
However, with the transaction in question, I can only see it in my wallet (xkrajnan-wallet) but not when browsing recipient's wallet (poloniexwallet).

Tx in question: https://www.cryptofresh.com/tx/a2272ab7ee0d84e982cb495c906be74bde385954
My wallet: https://www.cryptofresh.com/u/xkrajnan-wallet - there I can see the transaction
Recipient wallet: https://www.cryptofresh.com/u/poloniexwallet - there I can't see the respective transaction, even though I can see there my transactions in the "other direction"

Is this normal?
Or is it possible that we have a fork in the network?

I am asking because Poloniex never credited my deposit and I am becoming worried about what might have happened to my BTS (address and memo were correct).

Thanks for support!
