Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Can't claim MUSE from the Peertracks preSale

Ok, thanks.  I was able to trade the  MUSE in openledger.  The other investment was Ethereum.  I bought in on the first week of the crowdsale.  I didn't mention it specifically because I'm not sure if it acceptable behavior here to mention other crypts/blockchains.  So, MODS may of course remove or edit my post if so.

In 2014, I invested about 10k USD into btc at first, then spread it out on several other alts and crowdsales.  I was in the hole big time until just recently.

Just what I needed.  Thank you very much!  Finally was able to claim them.  Next question:  Are these still trading as DNotes or NOTE on the exchanges?  I don't see MUSE listed anywhere.

It's traded here https://yunbi.com/markets/notecny but I'm not sure if they fix deposit/withdraw.
You can trade them using OpenLedger, in your BitShares wallet to do deposit/withdraw menu at CCEDK you should see MUSE gateway, you can send your MUSE to this gateway get MUSE CCEDK IOU OPEN.MUSE which you can trade at BitShares here: https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPEN.MUSE_BTS

Looks like deposits are still broken un Yunbi.  Also, in CCEDK in my bts2.0 account, there is no option to generate a deposit address for open.muse.  There are about 11 others, ETH, DOGE, etc, but no MUSE.  I think I can see the writing on the wall here.  Thanks for all your help tho.  I was excited to at least get the MUSE and BTS from the AGS crowdsale in my own wallet clients.

I know this next statement is off topic, but I just want to get something of my chest.  At about the same time that I chose to participate in the AGS sale, I also put the same amount of btc in another popular crowdsale that was going on.  The other investment is now worth over 40 btc.  AND, all I had to do to get access to those tokens was to drag and drop the provided .json file into my new wallet.

If only I had a time machine, right?

Does anyone have any solutions to how to get at these unclaimed MUSE please?

Do you mean claiming pre-sale MUSE which you bought using BTC?
Please check your balance here: http://www1.agsexplorer.com (Use Balance menu and enter your Bitcoin address).
If you see your pre-sale NOTEs post here I will try to explain you what to do next.

I am still having this issue too, http://www1.agsexplorer.com/balances/1EWNV8eoeR8pbU6fRrsgzGmdEfKi1JvN5p

This thread also explains some more about my struggles, https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21466.0/topicseen.html

I'm trying to claim MUSE  and other vested BTS from the AGS crowd sale.  I have the latest MUSE client running as well as BTS 2.0.  My BTC donation address was from a multibit wallet, which seems to be part of issue here.  Also, I'm not good with command line entries.  I was to the point of just giving up but saw this thread and thought I would see if you could help.

1. You need export BTC address private key from multibit wallet (keep it at safe place)
http://docs.bitshares.eu/muse/migration/howto-exporting-wallet-clients.html
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,15593.msg200557.html#msg200557

2. You need to import this key into BitShares 0.9.3c
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,15593.msg200574.html#msg200574

3. Export keys to json http://docs.bitshares.eu/muse/migration/howto-exporting-wallet-bts.html#using-the-console

4. Import keys into MUSE client and claim balance.

I see the import wallet tool in settings, but it requires a .wif file.  Is there an easy way to convert my btc private key to a .wif file?

You can import either a .json wallet, or individual keys in WIF. The latter is not a file to upload, you simply have to paste the private key into the text input field.

I tried pasting the private key in the text input field.  It will not accept, the only option is the green "cancel" button.  It really should be that simple tho.  I need to take a break before I lose my mind.  But, thank you all the same.

Ok so I think you can import your wallet.dat file in the console.
The command is
wallet_import_bitcoin
It should actually prompt you for the filename, passphrase and the account to add the keys to(ie the one you just created)
If i remeber correctly it will only look for the filename in the same folder as the executable so you may want to try moving the dat file into the same folder or typing in the the whole pathname. What is your operating system by the way?

I'm using windows.  I'm also not comfortable with command line entries.  Tried a few times and it appears nothing happened.  I'm probably not doing something right.  Your efforts to help are appreciated however.

I was able to create a wallet in bts 0.9.3 from the console.  Thanks for the info.  But now, I'm trying to import my private key from my btc donation address and it appears to only accept .json files.  From my multibit wallet, I don't know to do that.  I only have the private key and wallet.dat files.

This is becoming more frustrating.  Every forward step is met with another roadblock.  I'm simply an investor trying to get access to my angelshares assets.  There needs to be an easy way to do this in 2.0 and the dac clients(muse).

OP update:  This past week I have been working on accessing my bts and muse from the angelshares crowdsale, without much success.  I need to stress the fact that I am not trying to migrate from bts 0.9.3 to 2.0.  Actually, sometime last year I started a topic here where you can see why I decided to wait until 2.0 to even attempt to recover these ags assets:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17814.msg227130.html#msg227130

Fast forward and it seems that was a mistake because it may have much easier if I had a working bts 0.9.3.  However after several days of attempting to sync a bts 0.9.3 wallet, it is stuck at 117 days behind and I cant even create an account to attempt to import my btc donation address private key.

So I then returned to my newly created bts 2.0  and muse account clients.  Again, both accounts are empty because I have never claimed any of the ags assets shown in my original post.  I see the import wallet tool in settings, but it requires a .wif file.  Is there an easy way to convert my btc private key to a .wif file?  I was using a multibit btc wallet at the time.  I'm hopeful that if I can manage to do this, I will see my partially vested bts from the ags crowdsale there in my bts 2.0 wallet and then repeat the process in muse.

Another issue with muse however.  I keep getting an error when trying to create an account.  "failed to create account xxxxxxx, unkown error"

Again, thanks for any help.

Yeah, I just downloaded Play and it seems to be abandoned.  I will check MUSE next.  Can you tell me how to find the "import private key" function in bts 2.0 for DNS and VOTE?

DNS and VOTE don't exist, they were merged into BTS. Whatever you were supposed to get for them, you get it in BTS

I understand that they don't exist.  I'm asking how to I claim the bts now.  I have never claimed it before.  I'm assuming I will have to import my btc private key to the bts wallet to claim it?  But I don't see that option anywhere in the wallet.

Was wondering if anyone could take a look at my AGS explorer link above and save me some time.  I want to recoup anything I can.  Is there anything that has any value there and how would I even get to it?  I have the new bitshares 2.0 openledger wallet downloaded and was hoping there would be an import function by using my donation address, but I don't see the option.  Do I need to download the individual clients associated with the DACs, PLAY etc. and import my donation address to them individually to claim my shares?  Any info, links, or advice would be appreciated.

Sorry for my ingnorance, but I'm really just an investor that bought into AGS during the crowdsale and I'm ready to cash in or measure my losses either way.  Thanks

I think I will wait on 2.0 like you recommend since I am having trouble with the java version needed for the current client.  I was able to get it working but now my multibit BTC wallet will not open, so I think I need to revert to the previous java version.  So I can be patient and wait for 2.0 and sort it out then.  Thanks for all the help.

Technical Support / Help with AGS DACs
« on: August 02, 2015, 03:43:42 pm »
I donated BTC to Angelshares in July of 2014 and almost forgot about it.  I have found the AGS explorer page and see my donations are recorded.  It looks like there have been 5 DACs so far, Lottoshares, Vote, DNS, Music, and Play.  From what I can find about these, Lotto, Vote, and DNS appear to be dead.  Play may still be in development.  Music looks to be alive and being traded.

I have downloaded a Bitshares Music wallet, but can't find any information on how to request my allotted shares.  Any information on how to proceed with any of these DACs would be appreciated.  Thanks.
