Thanks for the help, but nothing works.  I've added all kind of nodes that were posted in the forum, but it won't work either way.  Right now I feel like giving up as I had various problems on my mac with the wallet.  Maybe I'll be buying a linux computer.  Looks like it is not really made for mac.

I've been keeping my wallet open for a few days hoping that it will finish syncing.  But nothing happened and the message "no block source available" keeps showing on the bottom.  Is this normal?   Any idea what I should do to speed up the syncing process?

I finally found the wallet file.  Thanks so much.  I had to use the terminal to unhide it.  Need to write the following in the terminal and it is case sensitive: defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

Just like for windows, there is a protoshares QT wallet you can download for mac.  After download and running the client, just like with any other crypto wallet, the actual wallet file should be located in library/application support/protoshares.   If you don't see it there, then I would advice not to use it.

I also have problems with my Mac QT wallet.  Actually I can't even see the wallet where it belong which is supposed to be located in library/Application Support/Protoshares.  I am still looking for it in other folders.

This is what I expected where the wallet.dat file should be located.  But even before the crash, I wasn't able to see the wallet file in the application support folder.  Out of curiosity, I created a new user in the mac login option and tried to run protoshares there.  There it worked fine and didn't quit, but even there I cannot find the wallet.dat file in the application support folder.  Even if protoshares was to worked fine, I wouldn't feel comfortable to have value stored in the wallet.dat file not knowing where in my computer it is located.

Since my Mac crashed after I accidentally pulled the plug, Protoshare QT sends me the following message: "ProtoShares-Qt quit unexpectedly."
I did a clean uninstall with Mackeeper and reinstalled, but nothing changed.
Also I have no idea where the actual wallet.dat file is located.  Aren't they usually to be found in the library's Application Support?  At least I could throw away the wallet.dat file and see if it works with a new file.  Anyone can help?
