As an aside to this, I think the exchange area should be overhauled. I have no problem trading on any of the big centralized exchanges, but I'm lost in the DEX. There is just something off about it and I can't quite explain what that is. Trading on Poloniex is done very well.

Make the distribution method very difficult to understand. The more complicated the better.

i will recommend to make trading bots in python as you already have some open source code to look at

Any JavaScript or Haskell examples? My Python is pretty meh.

On another note, the price of BTS should remain pretty high since EOS is getting so much hype and will be based on graphene. Any innovation EOS makes can be easily added to BTS. I think the market will take that into account going forward. I'd wait for the current price of BTS to make its correction and possibly go long on it.

We want developers to be able to psychologically leave ethereum, so we want to make their investment  worth little.

Could you elaborate a bit? Core developers or people building on the platform?

Dan's definitely not in it for the money alone. He always seemed more like a "money as a means to an end" kind of guy to me, which is respectable.

When hype dies down in a few months and the market grows impatient, that will be the time to buy some IMO.

Yup. The price will peter out and ramp up to and maybe past the previous ATH when crypto goes through its next hype cycle.

Duuude, it's method-x! What's up bro?

Been kind of MIA these past couple years but this latest crypto bubble has brought my attention back this way (a bit).  :D

Wait until a later window to buy in, after hype has died down. I too think it's massively overvalued right now.

It's like a pre-launch bubble and it will pop as soon as tokens start trading on exchanges. I'll probably scoop a few up at that point.

At the time of this post, EOS has raised 313,332 ETH ($97,785,000 USD). Is it just me or does this seem massively overvalued?

General Discussion / Re: The Benefits of Proof of Work [BLOG POST]
« on: January 06, 2016, 12:03:00 am »
Prisoners didn't do that work for free. Someone had to pay to hold the prisoners.  The cost of slave labor is food, shelter, and clothing as well as guards.

How much did the prisoners get paid, then? They were expending the energy, not their guards. You attempt to bring in exogenous elements to prove a point about an objective measure.

It isn't what someone is "paid", it is what you would have to pay to get someone else to do something for you.  You are looking at it from the perspective of the people doing the work rather than from the perspective of the people who have to get them to do the work.

I like this way of defining work. You would be interested in this short TED-Ed video on the nature of power structures. The nature of "power" and "work" seem to be one and the same.

General Discussion / Re: Are there any blockchain based forums out there?
« on: January 05, 2016, 05:57:45 pm »
There was discussion about reddit doing this and converting their karma system into a blockchain based token. I think the guys at voat.co were considering it too. Sounds like a good idea at first but I haven't really thought about the details.

Edit: While not blockchain based, aether is a p2p forum. Here is the github repository.

Awesome initiative Jakub! This is what a proper roadmap on github would look like. You should ask the devs to give you access so you can format your roadmap to look something like that example.
