PURE SPECULATION!

Maybe Poloniex have lost their keys, and want the Bitshares devs to hard-fork to give it back.

Say you were 6 months behind the snapshotted final chain. Would any TITAN transactions sent to your account in that time appear in the exported keys?

edit: Just read the guide and that's a no. If anyone needs it I could upload the chain directory somewhere tomorrow morning if that helps and is all that is required. It goes a short time after the final snapshot.

Very interesting.

my own powerful orator quality voice.

And very well spoken too. Not one 'um' or 'ah' through the whole session!

Technical Support / Re: referral - lifetime member - in 2.0 genesis

I would like to ask the same thing.

Would it be possible to have the lifetime member as "trev" rather than "delegate.trev"?

Or is it possible to transfer the name over with the new system, thereby no big deal?

Technical Support / Re: Upgraded to 0.9.3, now unable to open wallet
« on: September 21, 2015, 11:26:33 pm »
Thought I was going mad!

Haven't opened the wallet in a few weeks. Thought I must've changed the password when I was pissed one night and forgotten about it!

Creating a new wallet and attempting to import a backup json gave 'password error' as well.

I ended up getting a backup copy of my wallet from last year to open (I'd zipped the wallet directory and copied it somewhere).

I might copy the 'corrupt' wallet back and check it in console to see what is happening.

edit: Actually this is likely my problem. https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18019.0.html

Technical Support / .BitShares/exceptions

Was thinking of zipping up my current block-state and copying it to another computer for a quicker initial sync.

Did a du -h and noticed my exceptions folder is 6.5GB! Is this folder required?

Code: [Select]
~/.BitShares$ du -h

General Discussion / Re: ShapeShift useful for bitUSD?
« on: January 30, 2015, 05:48:38 am »
Their FAQ says zero confirmations for small transactions. One confirmation for larger transaction. They don't specify this limit though.

I assume it accepts both TITAN account names and normal unregistered addresses? Anybody know?

Agree, great looking site.

Suggestion:

Replace "Lowest Fees on Earth" with something else.

It's the first thing that stuck out of me .. in the sore thumb sense.

Could be just me..

I find the colour of this a bit hard to read as well "Trade Dollars, Gold, Bitcoin, and other derivative assets without counterparty risk." below the main title.

Payout % column for the Standby Delegates would be handy as well. Currently only shows for the active delegates.
