Technical Support / Re: Can't connect to nodes in Firefox
« on: July 31, 2018, 09:24:15 pm »
I got it working again.   I had to go into Options - Privacy and Security, then went down to Cookies and Site Data and used the manage to delete everything related to the bitshares domain.   Once I did that it prompted me to login again and everything seems find now.   Something must have been cached that was causing an issue.

Is that something that changed in the latest release?   It used to work fine.   The funny thing is the openledger.io wallet started working in firefox after I posted this.  I just left the tab open and somehow it just started working again.   The wallet.bitshares.org wallet however is still not connecting to any nodes.

Is there something I can do to get the web wallet working in firefox again.  Neither wallet.bitshares.org or openledger.io web wallets will connect to any nodes and I just get the generic error message "Application Initialization Issues".    Both wallets work find in Chrome so I am not sure what the issue is but I would normally use firefox as my primary browser so I would like to get it working again.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Technical Support / Re: Open Ledger withdrawal issue

https://blog.openledger.info/2017/12/16/ltc-btc-dash-gateways-are-under-maintenance-now/

Here is their full statement about being under under maintenance right now.    Which is funny because I checked their status last night and it said these 3 coins were re-enabled for withdrawal.   At least this gives me some hope that my coins aren't lost somewhere.

I am in the same situation.  What is going on with OpenLedger right now?   No response from support either.

It make a me a little nervous using the DEX or the OpenLedger gateway if I can't withdrawal my coins in a timely manner.

Use the withdraw tab.  Select Openledger and withdraw open.eth.

How long do withdrawals normally take to show up on the ethereum blockchain?   I made a couple today and have been waiting a while and still nothing.   Is it normal for these to take awhile?

Technical Support / Re: open.BTC wallet Private Keys
« on: December 07, 2017, 05:05:23 pm »
OpenLedger (the company) owns the private keys controlling the actual Bitcoins. You can't get access to these.

So with that in mind should I treat storing BTC as open.BTC the same as storing in on any other centralized exchange?   I am assuming yes.
I like having it stored there because the Bitshares wallet makes it nice for managing multiple Cryptos but I don't like not owning the private keys.

You own the keys. You can see them in "Permissions" tab. Private keys are not shared with any third parties.

Can you elaborate.  I can see the keys for my Bitshares wallet under permissions but I am trying to understand where the keys to the open.BTC wallet I have within Bitshares.   I assume these are somehow tied together but I don't see how I would access the private keys for the open.BTC wallet.

Thanks again for any help.

Technical Support / open.BTC wallet Private Keys
« on: December 07, 2017, 03:19:22 pm »
So this may be a very noob questions but I trying to wrap my head around how storing BTC in my Bitshares wallet as open.BTC is any better than storing on an exchange.   I have an Bitcoin address within my Bitshares wallet that I can send BTC to and through the OpenLedger gateway it arrives in my bitshares wallet.

My questions are:
Who owns the private key to that open.BTC wallet address?
Is there a way that I can get the private key to this open.BTC wallet?

Any help is appreciated.

I tried importing my muse_default.bin  into web wallet and get "invalid  wallet format" error . I have all my muse in the muse  light wallet. Can I leave it there and import to new blockchain later?

Nevermind, I was importing in wrong place. All Muse moved to web wallet now :-)

What were you doing wrong?   I am trying to import the muse.bin file I backed up a long time ago and I am getting the same error.

Edit:  Nevermind I figured it out.  For anyone else have the issue if you have the bin file do the "Restore Backup" option instead of "import keys".

How do I access and existing account in the new web wallet.   I imported my keys a long time ago and I can see my balance on the MUSE blockchain when I go to "Explore->Accounts" and search my account name.    I had the very first Muse Wallet for Windows installed, can I import the wallet file from that?   If so where is that located, I can't seem to find it.

Or do I need to import something else?

Thanks!

Is everyone having issues claiming funds with windows release?

That was a last minute fix.

I am having issues claiming my balance as well.   I imported my json key file with no problem.  When I go to the Claim Balances page, my balance and account show up on the listing but the "Select Account" dropdown does not contain my account name.   I can mark the checkbox next to my account balance but the Claim Balance button stays disabled so I am not able to actually claim the balance.   I have tried reloading multiple times and even exiting and reopening the application and nothing seems to work.

Alright so I fixed my issue.

The issue appears to have been that I had created a wallet but not an account.   Once I created an account, I was able to claim my balances.   Not sure if it matters but I created an account with the same name as my original account from the 0.9.3 wallet file that I was importing.

hi mfajma
i follow the same procedure...
all fine for me...
i just to understand better how to import notes buyed in IPO.

did you buy notes in IPO?

I did, and those notes showed up in my 0.9.3 bitshares wallet.   I exported those keys and imported the .json file into that new Muse wallet and now they are showing up in my Muse wallet.   Did your notes show up in your bitshares 0.9.3 wallet?

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: NOTE Snapshot and MUSE launch date!

So I imported my BTS 0.9.3 wallet to BTS 2.0 and my "Notes" from BTS 0.9.3 do not show up in my new wallet.   Is that how it is supposed to happen?   Will this new snapshot result in my Notes being added back into my account once MUSE launches?
