Look at Primecoin the increase in difficulty had very little effect on the price, i think a few weeks is to short time.
I belive Angelshares have a larger impact on PTS prices right now then PTS difficulty or the introduction of gpu-miners.

Did download miner and setup a run.bat, the miner starts, skips the CPU, then

and nothing happend, what am i missing?

A perfect time to buy in or buy more is my opinion, the closer to Bitshares genesis block there more people will "panic" and prices will skyrocket, once Bitshares is announced for release i guess the Protoshares price will jump 50-100% in 24 hours.

Also, why should we have a wide spread GPU mining if most of people just have 1 GPU on their machines.
It would attract Litecoin GPU rigs owners. The supply of coins would increase.

Afterall it may be interesting to keep GPU miner out of the community so many CPU owners can at least try to solo or pool mine.
