Support! May the BitShares UI go to new strengths with this refined budget, and full focus on essential development.

Total  budget:
   30,600 USD (215,179 CNY)

Please quote additional budget requirements for the same worker, except no restrictions on gateways providers: GDEX, RUDEX, XBTSX, DEEX, etc.

There is no such need that private owned for-profit companies such as gateways are listing nodes for public access.

The nature of the argument: "gateways should be self funded because they keep all their profits", is no longer relevant with BSIP86.

These are no longer "independent for profit entities"; they are now taxed subjects of state.

If there is to be taxation; a qualification of the inherent power to do so, is that the proceeds of such levy, should provide for the general welfare of the taxed parties.   This should include both listing on the reference UI and access worker-funded public API nodes.

As revenue raised - for the chain - by gateways will increase with their increased traffic.  I propose explicitly excluding gateways from "commercial use".    While current traffic is low, perhaps this means this worker should include a budget for "potential" increase in load handling of gateway traffic; to be return to chain in the event it is not needed.

As BSIP86 is not implemented yet, and new core worker still to go on chain/approved, hence worker will keep the "commercial limits" until BSIP86 is part of bitshares-core software mainnet release.

Best regards,

General Discussion / Re: Web Wallet Unusable -
« on: September 06, 2019, 10:32:50 am »
Refresh browser and try one of these nodes to connect to. More are coming back online and this was caused by a chain halt reported elsewhere. The issue was already patched by core team, but node operators need time to upgrade and resync.

Voted, and I believe I should be able to make it to this one in person!

If the idea appeals to others, I'd like to get this updated and then created as an article on news.bitshares.org also. It could be great informative piece for people/freelancers figuring out if/how they can get work around our blockchain.

General Discussion / Re: Binance DEX what the big deal?
« on: March 27, 2019, 09:09:42 am »
yes but BitShares community is sleeping since 2015 as well :) binance dex will be the end of our beloved exchange. the leaders of this community are too busy sponsoring overpaid ''spokes people'' and approving BSIPs that make the decentralized exchange pretty centralized.  :(

Alright... I looked at your account and you started here in 2017. Don’t know how you know if it was sleeping since 2015.

We are approving things that get BitShares good publicity, like having a spokesperson who is knowledgeable and reliable.

Before making accusations of BitShares being centralized, please bring evidence. That is just FUD with no information. Very immature to just make statements in this community without evidence and only post 15 times over 2 years.

having official legal rep / one channel for regulators or authorities is essential role in the longevity and growth of BitShares and the community. I'm aware of efforts and goals to date of BBF which are aligned in making BTS regulated and legal to the world, so I am confident in them continuing with the task.

Great initiative, and as seen separately in telegram chats, let alone the marketing oppty being fantastic - it is holding further value coinciding at a well timed moment - to place some of the best minds in our community together in the same time and room ... what's not to like

Just wanted to say, I've read the full proposal with enormous interest, in a good way and with the background and resume - this is a welcome addition to BitShares. Furthermore, I've heard more good feedback from others who welcome this witness proposal. Some exceptional contributions we didn't see coming, thank you.

General Discussion / Re: Internalizing the Hero
« on: July 22, 2018, 07:22:40 am »

3) I do encourage BitAssets. As John Robert (Conlin), Alex and everyone who has 2 gram of brain does. Compared to all of Stan's other projects, i consider personally bitHero his greatest and most legal achievement in BitShares.

...and if doable - Move Institute will be happy to transfer ownership to itself for mentioned asset with prior to that signed agreement with whoever is original asset issuer. We can turn it to very normal asset with very decent campaign, legal to

BUSINESS REQUEST:

Committee - to explain decision made in the background and to wait with decision against issuer.
Issuer (Cryptonomex if I understand this well) - To contact me or Move Institute (Zavod Premik) for legal discussion and arrangements for transferring ownership (threshold) for the Asset.

Offcourse unless there is proof that BitHero was illegally used or harmed blockchain in any way. Will wait Committee for answer.

Thanks Digital for such practical and fair points. Agree particularly above, we should encourage bitassets. Having also come up with a possible solution with Move Institute is a smart forward thinking gesture.

From Committee, I also await answer to the same Business Request. I believe assets like HERO are good for BitShares, better explanations should be put forwards.

Just like to offer firstly a thanks for the mention, and that our full whole-hearted support goes behind this. John is a great young mind and having completed an extensive education in the fields of law and economics, I know from following his studious and professional work around here, it would be a fantastic motivation for him and asset to the community having him as a community member.

13
Our whole-hearted support. Nothing to add which hasn't been said in previous comments - there's also been times Kevin was there for me when I had some question in  Telegram. A true asset and blessing to the BitShares community.

I see great value in a rewards backed forum based on whaleshares, we need a plan to migrate this one to it.
You can already signup at beta.whaleshares.net and then use it to login at bitsharestalk.io

Please note updated IP is now correct since the VPS was moved to higher bandwidth position in our partner IDC
