General Discussion / Re: Problem withdrawing from Bter
« on: November 27, 2017, 09:22:41 pm »
I've tried with two adresses. The first one I already used it to send some BTS from Bittrex to the wallet, it worked fine.

With Bter allways get the message: "BTS account is not registered"

From support they told me to try with different account, then I created another one (kurex-7)
Sent some BTS fom first account to kurex-7 and they were received.
Tried this new address in Bter and same error

Technical Support / Problem withdrawing from BTER
« on: November 23, 2017, 09:49:16 pm »

I've got an old account in BTER with some BTS in it. When I try to withdraw them I allways get the message: "BTS account is not registered"
My account is registered and I've used it already.
Is BTER in a different chain ??
Anyone had similar issue ?

Contacted support, but they just keep telling me to try again...

Hello,

I've got some BTS over Bter, and when I tried to withdraw them, they didn't show in my wallet. I contacted support and they cancelled and returned my balance. Tried again and same problem.

Anyone had similar issue? Already solved?

Sent some PTS to donation, but it's not getting confirmed (0 confirmations). Wallet (from 18 Feb 2014) is synced, already restarted it but nothing.

Made 2 transactions

and

It's not showing in the block explorer. Coins sent almost 2 hours ago.

Is this normal due to low number os blocks being generated?

Coins were sent within time for donation, maybe they'll arrive after donations are closed. Is this an issue?

BitShares PTS / Re: fast AMD OpenCL PTS/NRS miner released

Just found something very appealing for users of 290/X.... and above...

Summer is coming and I am waiting for my AC upgrade... in order to run overclocked GPUs and CPUs.. without burning at home.. so.. super experiments.. come to place.. where you try to lower the temps at all cost!

I have set the 290X (via AMD driver).. to -50% power.. and -47.x% GPU clock... and xarammmmm the results! AMAZIMG!!!

This is... brutal efficiency! Temps when from 72 ºC -> 60 ºC (on die with over 28ºC temps ambient)!! The current AMPs went even further!.. 82 -> 60 ºC!!! Power consumption varies.. as the card is constantly changing clocks... but.. in average.. is a lot less.. I would say.. 40% less power consumption.. So.. guys..! more viability to 290/X GPUs than with the older ones.. the 270X can't do the same...

But I would like to ear from your results... mines are like this:

Code: [Select]
13:37:17 | 4256 c/m | 8.366 sh/m | VL: 5742 (98.98%) | RJ: 56 (0.97%) | ST: 3 (0.05%) | ART: 52.5 ms
 (47.62/37.61/23.32)

These results you're getting are similar to mine, but when I want to lower temperature I just use one thread.

Can anyone explain how this can be mined with GPU? Which software? only solo? pool possible?

Thanks

https://nrs.blockquarry.com/

go to getting started and follow the instructions.

I've done it, and I'm currently mining, but it's CPU coyote miner, I was asking for a GPU. Is there one?

Edit: Found it "pts-getwork" but it seems to work only in solo

Is there any for pool?

It seems coyote miner does not have the -t flag to reduce the amount of cores used. I've set pool_miner.exe in windows task manager to low priority, but this kill my mining process in GPU for other coins  :-[
I need to leave at least one core free.

Is there any workaround ?

Newbie question: Is there a pool for this one? Searched but couldn't find

General Discussion / Re: Transition from PTS to Bitshares
« on: February 19, 2014, 08:20:51 pm »
Once you redeem your BTS from your PTS, is there any point in holding onto PTS? Also, once PTS are already used to redeem BTS, can they not be used again? So someone buying PTS won't know if they're getting PTS+BTS or just PTS?
You never lose your PTS, you'll just get additional shares in every DAC. So say if you're holding on to 100 PTS at the launch, after the launch of BitShares, you'll have 100 PTS + 100 BTS. The value of PTS might fall but it still has value because Invictus or other community members might come up with other DACs in the future and honor the same social contract of giving initial shares to PTS holders. Invictus has publicly announced their social contract - every DAC they create will be forked from ProtoShares which means by holding ProtoShares, you get a share of each of the Invictus DACs in the future. That's why they're valuable.

Noob question: Does this mean there will be another "checkpoint" block for protoshares in future DACs, or only counts the initial PTS we're holding in first "checkpoint" (in the release of Bitshares) ?

Anyone tried using a virtual machine to run linux in windows ? Any gain? Or the primary system needs to be Linux?

if you have a 280 gpu with no monitor connected, you can run -t 0,0 (2 threads).
with monitor connected you better run -t 0 (1 threads)
So i have to run -t 0,0,1 (3 threads) because at device 1 there is my monitor....

-t 0,0,1 gives me 6200 cpm with 2x 280x

I'm using CAD software, and I get some lag, I need to decrease the intensity.

Note: I'm using 1x280x - Sapphire Dual-X, and using 2 threads makes cpm drop to around 1400. Seems that there are different results for 280x
