General Discussion / Re: Best crypto events for H1 2019
« on: February 18, 2019, 10:22:11 am »
Hello! Thank you so much for this post, but I saw it too late, so I did not have time to attend any of the conferences. I will be very grateful if you periodically share information about upcoming conferences. I'm just starting to work with cryptocurrency, so I think that such activities will help me to develop in this direction. Recently, a friend of mine advised me to check the site https://cyber-options.com/ and I thought it might be a good start. At first I thought that it might be too late, but I did'nt regret that I nevertheless agreed. And such conferences are just a find for my future development.

General Discussion / Re: How were the BTWTY tokens issued?
« on: January 22, 2018, 05:11:05 pm »
There are a big difference between permissions and flags. Permissions are possibilities, flags are real. I leave all permission as standard but I only have 2 active flags : "Charge market fee" and "Witness fed asset". You can see them here : http://cryptofresh.com/a/BTWTY

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you leave the permission enabled, then you can change the flag whenever  you want so that you have the possibility to transfer any BTWTY at your will... Or is that not the case?

The Bitshares Documentation clearly states: "When an asset is created, the issuer can set any combination of flags/permissions. Flags are set in stone unless there is permission to edit. Once a permission to edit is revoked, flags are permanent, and can never be modified again."

Therefore, as far as I understand it, you as the issuer have the permission enabled to edit the flag "ISSUER MAY TRANSFER ASSET BACK TO HIMSELF". That means you could enable the flag at any time and could make use of it and just transfer funds as you wish. So why not disable that permission? If you have no intention to use that flag, then there should not be any reason to leave that permission enabled, or is there?

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you leave the permission enabled, then you can change the flag whenever  you want so that you have the possibility to transfer any BTWTY at your will... Or is that not the case?

How do we spread the word developers can be paid by the blockchain?!  The money is there, we just need the talent.

A nice post like this could help:

We should officially clarify:
   - that bitshares is effectively hiring
   - what positions are open / wanted.
   - what contributions are wanted (BSIP, "help-wanted" tag in github, page with a list of ideas, documentation, ...)
   - how you can already contribute (UI worker, witness, etc...)
   - how works the hiring process (worker proposal, guidelines to get voted in, etc..)

It should be posted by the spokesperson and then we should share the word.

Incoming Graphene Conferences are also a good forum.

Another idea is a "Build Challenge" like this: https://www.stellar.org/blog/build-challenge/ + https://www.stellar.org/developers/guides/things-to-build.html

I also like this page which is more clear than most of the pages we have for bitshares:  https://www.dash.org/governance/

It's a really good blog

General Discussion / Re: What projects did ICO in bitshares so far?
« on: January 20, 2018, 09:40:10 am »
Does anybody here know sites with ICO that could be registered? Maybe someone knows at least a part of them? I interested in parallel contribution to several projects. If anybody has information about resources that provide information about that, please tell me.

You can even register your own ICO on ico faces. They have all the information about ICO, I guess. I work with them for a quite a long time, and can safely say that here you can get all information you need. I was just lucky to found that resource at the very start of my ICO career.
